Knowing what we know now about George Bush and the gang, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to find out things are not going very well in Afghanistan! As a matter of fact, his “war on terrah” has turned into one big ass mess! Insurgents in Iraq, Taliban in Afghanistan, and al-Qaeda everywhere! Soldiers' lives lost, devastating life-altering injuries suffered, billions upon billions of dollars spent, and what do we have---liars in the White House, an ineffective Congress, a suck-up mainstream corporate media while Osama is still at large, there’s a bigger quagmire in Iraq, the Taliban back in Afghanistan, murder and mayhem, greater instability in the entire Middle East and now the threat of nuclear weapons hanging overhead! No matter how they try and spin it, in the end, it definitely does NOT spell progress!

Exactly what is it about illicit sex and money these Repuglicans find so attractive? Is it true what they say, when they say, “It takes one to know one”??? Is that why they are so quick with the slime, smear, and scandal? Do they know more about it than they let on? Why, it looks as though the answers are YES,YES, and a resounding YES!

“We cannot go wobbly," said Frist, R-Tenn. Well, seeing as how you guys wobbled us into Iraq, why can’t we wobble out??? First came the wobbly mushroom clouds, then came the wobbly aluminum tubes and that infamous wobbly yellow cake from Niger, then the wobbly weapons of mass destruction, then the wobbly imminent threat, all the wobbly lies, and all the wobbly rewritten motives cannot put your wobbly war back together again, so I’d say yes it is way past time to wobble on out!!!

Oh how they do try to rewrite history! First there came from George Bush, “The reason I keep insisting that there was a relationship between Iraq and Saddam and al-Qaeda is because there was a relationship between Iraq and al-Qaeda.” Then from the latest White House Press Secretary, Tony (suck-up) Snow, "President Bush never linked the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and the regime of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein" … Snow then asserted that Bush "never has" claimed such a link. And now the question becomes, if there was never a link between Saddam and al-Qaeda, then what the hell are we doing in Iraq????

Today’s polls reflect what people dislike about being lied into an unnecessary, preemptive horror of a war! When America is actually threatened for real, and the action taken by the leadership of our country is defensive, rather than an offensive march on world domination for money and power, then the people will back the leadership and the cause to the very end. Unlike the chickenhawk Repuglicans who prefer deferment to enlistment, most of the people in America are true Patriots! Blowhard, idiotic rhetoric, and an Office of Disinformation along with mainstream corporate media can fool some of the people some of the time, but they cannot fool all the people all the time!!!

Hmmm, here’s a tidbit of info, gleaned from Ron Suskind’s latest tome entitled The One Percent Doctrine. “The book's opening anecdote tells of an unnamed CIA briefer who flew to Bush's Texas ranch during the scary summer of 2001, amid a flurry of reports of a pending al-Qaeda attack, to call the president's attention personally to the now-famous Aug. 6, 2001, memo titled "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in US." Bush reportedly heard the briefer out and replied: "All right. You've covered your ass, now." “You’ve covered your ass”???? From the president of the United States, regarding an impending terrorist attack??? My God, words are not enough to express the horror! How many times did we hear, “if we had only known” from Bush and his minions? “Bush on Defensive---Says If He’d Known, He Would Have Acted to Foil Terror Plot.” Now we know he knew X 2 and he did nothing! How sad for the victims of 9-11, how sad for their families, how sad for us all. George Bush chose to go on vacation rather than do the job he wanted so bad he had to steal it! Talk about “cut and run,” George Bush wrote the book on “cut and run”!

The latest attack on his opponents by Karl Rove involves the phrase “cut and run,” but he should have chosen something other than that, because the whole world knows George Bush is the master of “cut and run”! For instance, there was that deal to keep him out of harm’s way in Viet Nam, you know the one where Poppy got him a sweetheart slot in the Texas Air National Guard, yes that’s the one he dumped to go to work on a political “campaign” in Alabama that some say he never showed up for. Then there was that little incident involving alleged “insider trading,” remember the one where he sold his stock right before Harken tanked, leaving all the stockholders holding the proverbial bag. Then there was that time when he chose a vacation over doing something about “Osama determined to attack within the U.S.” And who can forget about that horrific day 9-11, 2001, that day he flew to Nebraska to “get outta harm’s way”! Yes, George Bush certainly knows how to “cut and run,” and Karl Rove would be wise to cut the crap, before he’s caught up on his own petard and run outta town!
