Breaking News---Bush in Baghdad!  “Up to 70,000 troops to patrol Iraqi capital in security crackdown.”  Democracy can’t be very free in Iraq if the security situation requires utmost secrecy and 70,000 troops! It's amazing what low poll numbers do to a chickenhawk!!!

Well, folks, you can be sure there is no justice in these United States when it comes to the Bush administration! “White House senior adviser Karl Rove has been told by Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald that he will not be charged in the CIA leak case.” Take a long slow look around; thanks to the Bush administration, Democracy is in its last throes. Fascism has taken root and is spreading its tentacles!  America has been reduced to an oppressed nation ruled by a tyrant and his “brain”!

How like the Bush administration to screw up protection for our soldiers. “Armored” Humvees have actually resulted in making them more dangerous to “rollovers”! “Thousands of pounds of armor added to military Humvees, intended to protect U.S. troops, have made the vehicles more likely to roll over, killing and injuring soldiers in Iraq, a newspaper reported. "I believe the up-armoring has caused more deaths than it has saved," said Scott Badenoch.” What’s with this administration? Everything they touch always turns into another disaster!

The original intent all along has been to blow up the UN, because the UN is a threat to their plan to dominate the world!  Seemingly there’s a fleeting need for the UN and things have been altered. Obviously, an overblown, puffed up, pile of intimidating bully, Bolton, apparently hasn’t gotten the message!  Either that or he has been told to stay the course, but with more meanness, more threats, more undiplomatic behavior in an attempt to make George Bush look the part of peace maker!   The hope is to try to overcome the fact that the American people have had a belly full of Bush and his egotestical,* arrogant destructive behavior!  After all, there are still a few more years left to really destroy democracy, if they can just maintain the power structure it’s taken so many years and so much money to erect! [“Egotestical” - a man’s self-image and his self-importance fueled only by his gonads.]

Repuglicans can rig elections, so what makes anyone think they aren’t rigging the polls too?  “WITH an approval rating of 63%, one Bush is riding high in the polls. But his first name is Jeb."!  As far as “Republicans who think he is too good a politician to waste,” take a long slow look at his big bro for a glimpse into what you can expect in America’s  future if these guys are allowed to stay in office!

“BLITZER: Efforts in Congress to change the way we all use cable TV are dividing some Christian conservatives … some parents are fed up with paying for stations that they find offensive. Some family and religious groups support them.”  This may be a good idea, frankly it would give me the opportunity to get rid of some of those channels and programming I find offensive and don’t like paying for -- The 700 Club, and whatever channel Jimmy Swaggart appeared on this past Sunday (saw him while channel surfing, tears and all included), then of course there are the various channels that occasionally bring a canned production of television religion to the airways, all these I could include on my elimination list!  Yep, that just may be a good idea!!!  Of course, I’d keep the Comedy Channel, FX, SciFi, and a few others!!!

Having been born and raised in Florida, and also knowing a little something about elections from the inside, what’s happening in Alachua County is NOT surprising! For as many years as I can remember, election results in small towns and big cities in the state of Florida were predetermined by what was more commonly known as election “machines” (usually made up of a particular group of the more prominent, wealthier members of the community).  The winners were beholden to the “machine” and whatever the “machine” wanted the “machine” got, from land deals to development, to city and county jobs, from dog catcher to police chief, the outcome has always been exactly what the “machine” wanted!
