Had the “founding fathers” of this great country really intended to have a theocracy, had they wanted a country ruled by religious edicts and the Ten Commandments, I rather imagine instead of writing a Constitution they would have simply presented the Bible for ratification! Instead they gave us the Constitution of the United States of America, which in turn guarantees that all men (and women) are created equal!

With each passing day, it becomes more and more obvious, Bush is not a “regular guy,” and I damn sure don’t want to have a beer with him! A “regular guy” is not prone to telling lies to accomplish selfish goals, a “regular guy” does not have to “fix the facts” to wage preemptive, unnecessary wars, a “regular guy” is not vindictive nor is he vengeful, a “regular guy” does not torture nor does he abuse, a “regular guy” admits mistakes and doesn’t blame others for his personal shortcomings, a “regular guy” does not spy on his neighbors, a “regular guy” does not intimidate nor does he threaten! A “regular guy” is a giver not a taker, a man of his word, a man who stands tall and accepts the responsibilities that life brings him. Somehow running off to a cave to hide in the face of danger, be it in Nebraska or in Afghanistan, is descriptively more telling!

When the president of the United States of America is out there saying such things as “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Bring ‘em on,” “we will hunt you down” etc., etc., hooh hah; don’t you know a bunch of psyched up impressionable young men, still wet behind the ears, locked in the horrors of war, are going to emulate the leadership! When everyone is aware the leadership condones “torture and abuse,” so much so that they would negate the Geneva Conventions and write up new rules and descriptions for “torture and abuse,” don’t you know horrible things are bound to happen? And Bush, while sitting safely tucked away in Washington, had this to say about Haditha: “… those who violated a law, if they did, will be punished.” Come on folks, “Haditha” and all the horrors of war in Iraq are a hideous reflection of George Bush! The gruesome events in Iraq are the very reasons why war is not the answer!

These days when I see the word “Repuglican” the next thought that jumps into mind is DISHONEST! From George Bush right on down the chain, they are all dishonest, sniveling, conniving, liars, cheats, and scandal mongers, who are only happy when they can create misery and mayhem for anyone they deem an opponent! It’s way past time for a change!

“But, Bush said at the White House, 'Despite setbacks and missteps, I strongly believe we did and are doing the right thing.'" Well now, wouldn’t you say that all depends on what the meaning of “right” is, right? Besides, a preemptive unnecessary war based on lies and “fixed facts,” gulags for torture and abuse, indefinite detainment, and the deaths of American soldiers and innocent Iraqis could hardly be considered “missteps” and certainly cannot be considered “the right thing” in anybody’s book!

Ah, those Repuglican activists, you find them hiding in plain sight just about everywhere these days! Take Howard Kurtz, if only he’d turn that “critical lens” on himself, then the audience would know how really “unreliable” he is, each and every time he opens his yada, yada, yada, hole! When touting his opinions, he neglects to reveal that small, but oh so telling conflict of interest, Sheri Annis! Now, Sheri is a Repuglican consultant and activist, she worked for Auhnuld’s campaign out in California, etc. and is married to, you guessed it, good ole Howie, and that, folks, explains his bias for the political radicals in America! It’s obviously a waste of time to listen to Howie’s pre-planned, pre-scripted, pre-disposed, pre-biased opinions. Besides, the whole charade is dishonest!

Fierce fighting in Afghanistan renewed, and Paula Zahn aired a program on the acute dangers of eating disorders in America with a special emphasis on “anorexia in men.” And CNN is wondering why they are trailing in the ratings wars!? This is not meant to imply that eating disorders and anorexia aren’t worth mentioning, but I hardly think in these times and on Memorial Day, no less, it seems that a story about our fighting men and women in far away places would have been more appropriate!

Why beat around the Bush, why not come right out and say it, the Repuglicans in Congress and in the state legislatures across this country are doing their level best to block minority voters, they are doing their level best to suppress a citizen’s right to vote in this country. When is America going to wake up? It’s a, first they came for the minorities, then they came for the liberals, then they came for the Democrats, then for the Independents, and then there was no one but the radicals left, kind of fascist Bush dream world!
