George Bush and the NSA remind me of the neighborhood gossips of yesteryear, back when party lines were a mainstay of telephone service.  He or she just couldn’t help themselves; they listened in on every conversation conducted on their “party line.”  Don’t tell me the NSA and George Bush are just compiling data, “listening in” is just too tempting for them not to do when the desire and the opportunity is there without constraint.

From “WMDs” to “regime change,” to “bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq,” and now, from “mistakes” to “misjudgments,” changing the words does not alter the reality. “DR. RICE: Undoubtedly, Tim, there are many things that could have been done differently, and I’m certain could have been done better. But when you’re involved in an enterprise this big and this complicated, there are going to be misjudgments.” These guys never change their stripes, they continuously try and hide behind selective wording for their mind-blowing, ill conceived, complicated plans to dominate the world enterprise.

Given this is the Bush administration and what they do is often the opposite of what they say, I am wondering if the National Guard on the southern borders is meant to keep illegal immigration out or ultimately to keep American citizens within?  Is this the beginning of a move towards martial law?  Are we becoming a “police state” after all?  Is this an insurance policy that will aid and abet Bush’s desire to be a “dictator” come 2008?  Keep in mind every illegal act the Bush administration has committed thus far has been done using the ploy of “protecting the American people” and once a dictatorship has been established this administration won’t give a damn about what the American people want or need.

“SEN. GRAHAM: This bill doesn’t grant anybody immediate citizenship. If you fail to learn English, you’ve got to pay a fine.”  Is this provision going to apply to every immigrant who ever stepped foot on the shores of the United States?  I am not an advocate of fines if you don’t learn English, but I do think if you’re going to enact a law, then that law should apply to one and all equally!  There are many already established immigrant communities where English hasn’t been learned. Will this law apply to the non-English speaking bastions of Repuglican support as well?

Much has been said about the millions of illegal immigrants in this country---they’ve been called criminal, felons, and even worse by those looking to make some political hay out of a very divisive subject!  Here’s my two cents worth. If there are to be fines and punishment it should start with those who are responsible in the first place.  Every Senator and every Congressman who ever voted against funding for the Border Patrol should have to pay a fine, every corporation who ever greased the pockets of these lawmakers should also be fined, every lawmaker who chose to ignore the illegal immigration problem over the last several years should be held liable for ignoring their fiduciary responsibility to the American people.  Start at the source and then work your way down, and for these law makers, a paltry $2000 fine isn’t nearly enough to redeem their irresponsibility!

The sad truth here is the reporters and mainstream corporate media continue to cover up for George Bush.  And now they, along with this administration and the Repuglican Party, are trying to silence America’s only source of truth to power, the INTERNET.

“Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Sunday he believes journalists can be prosecuted …” and yet there are still some who believe FASCISM is a thing of the past!  “Never again” is happening right now, right here!

"SEN. GRAHAM: … Amnesty to me is what Jimmy Carter did with draft dodgers. 'Come on back and all is forgiven.'"  It’s rather amusing that Senator Graham never mentioned the chickenhawk Repuglican “draft dodgers,” you know the ones, the ones who dodged the draft by getting deferments with an s, and enlisting in the National Guard and were “forgiven” and  appointed president and vice president!  Clean up your own back porch Mr. Graham before you sneer at someone else’s!!!
