Exactly what’s going on these days, if not a move towards fascism? First the Air Force Academy drops its rules on proselytizing---“New York Times (Feb. 10, p.17): "Air Force Revises Religion Rules – The Air Force released new guidelines for religious expression, dropping a requirement for chaplains to respect others' rights to their own beliefs and no longer cautioning top officers about promoting their personal religious views."….USA Today (March 10) reported that Air Force recruiters "use religion as [a] tool." Several Air Force personnel filed suit alleging "illegal proselytizing by evangelical Christian chaplains, officers and cadets at the Air Force Academy and throughout the service." And now we hear Air Force General Hayden “rejected ... the feature that monitored potential abuse of the records. Only the data analysis facet of the program survived and became the basis for the warrantless surveillance program.” Is Bush building his own private Air Force?  Do they work exclusively for Bush or do they work for America?

When is Congress going to realize George Bush is in a world by himself, and no one, that means no one, else matters!

Could the rain be the tears of angels having seen what humans have done with the gifts we’ve been given?  Is the rain a reflection of inconsolable grief over what one human is willing to do to another because of religious differences, or the differences in skin color and ethnicity?   Are the angels disappointed when they observe what humans will do for money, and for power?  Are they unhappy as they watch us destroy the earth boundary by boundary, country by country?  Are they crying with the innocent children who’ve lost their parents and families because of war?  In this the modern day 21st Century a civilized human being would believe there are better ways than war to settle differences. You’d think we all should have learned how to be human by now!

War, death and destruction, as well as fear and loathing, does strange things to otherwise honorable men, which is why war should truly be the last resort, rather than the preemptive whim of madmen!  My heart aches over the irrational, unreasonable deaths of innocent families, and my heart aches for the men and women who were sent to wage that war.

Now that George Bush has decided to “normalize” relations with Libya and Moammar Gadhafi, I just have to wonder what happened to that spiel of “spreading freedom and democracy”?  Where’s all that red, white, and blue rhetoric?  Could it have been lost in a sea of oil?

I repeat, Osama bin Laden is accomplishing his goal without lifting a finger.  George Bush and the majority Repuglican Party are doing the job for him!  If indeed it’s “freedom and democracy” the terrorists hate, then not to worry, for it’s being eliminated one Constitutional line at a time by those who have corrupted power absolutely and created a “Police State”!

One only has to look and see who walked away with the money in the end to know the guilty parties at Enron!  When I think of all the employees who believed the shtick Ken Lay was spoon feeding them while selling off stock to guarantee his fat bank account, all those who lost everything and Lay walked away still a millionaire, I am appalled.  If justice is to be served, these guys should be locked up somewhere in Texas, in those prisons they helped, with exorbitant campaign donations, Texas politicians create--and throw the key away!

Again, I repeat---it is absurd that this Repuglican dominated Congress will allow the Bush administration to “classify” all the illegal activities they have undertaken in the name of “a war on terrah,” and then use the excuse the Congress cannot investigate said illegalities because they don’t have the necessary “security clearance”!  For God’s sake, America, WAKE UP.“Classified intelligence” these days only secures the safety of those committing unspeakable acts in the name of the American people!

“BLITZER: … the administration today is finally briefing the full Senate Intelligence Committee, the full House Intelligence Committee, not on the phone records, but on the initial warrantless surveillance program. BENNETT: In terms of the full committee, I kind of regret that. I mean, can't we trust the chairs and the ranking members? When you multiply the number of people who get their hands on stuff, I'm just worried about leaks. And that can be a real problem.”  Uhh, were you to be as worried when Valerie Plame’s identity and CIA status was “leaked,” funny how, exactly who is leaking what, that matters to bloviates of the Bill Bennett political stature! [bloviate \BLOH-vee-ayt\, intransitive verb: To speak or write at length in a pompous or boastful manner.]
