Stop and think about the absurdity of classifying information regarding the illicit use of torture and abuse!  Exactly whose safety and security is compromised when our government officials are ordering up torture and abuse?  Who but the perpetrator seeks protection under the mantle of “classified” when they are knowingly breaking the law?  The “leakers” and the reporters are not criminals; they are the ones who are keeping the public informed about the illegitimate use of power, when the powerful are committing unspeakable acts in our names.

There was one line in the Bush speech that glaringly stood out---“We cannot build a unified country by inciting people to anger or playing on anyone's fears or exploiting the issue of immigration for political gain.” By anyone’s standards it takes a bald-faced sociopath to utter such a declaration after he himself has incited anger, played on fear, and exploited whatever the issue for his own personal political gain.  Methinks he should pay special attention to the part that read, “We cannot build a unified country” and heed the advice!

“Taliban Justice Returns to Afghanistan,” and so goes the “progress” in Afghanistan!  For George Bush it has become, “the further I go, the behinder I get,” which is no surprise if past history is any indication of future failure!

Anyone else notice? The Bush boy must have had some updated coaching on how to deliver a speech, especially when your poll numbers are abysmal.  It must have taken a whole lot of coaching hours and a whole lot of practice to drop the blinking, how to hold your hands, how not to slur the words, and whatever you do, don’t grind your jaw!

There’s always a bit of irony in the claim that polls don’t matter!  Polls supposedly never matter to a politician when his numbers are down.  It becomes downright hilarious, when you read and/or hear, "Rove accused the news media of being too fixated on polls.  ‘I love this mania which has swept through American media today which substitutes polls for coverage of substance,’ he said.  Despite low approval ratings, ‘I'm sanguine,’ Rove said. ‘I know our own polls.'"  Special emphasis here on the “brain” accusing “the news media of being too fixated on polls” and then saying, “I KNOW OUR OWN POLLS”!  The moral of this story is once a liar, always a liar!

I don’t need a picture to know whose head was pictured atop the “person shaped target,” Katherine Harris was “drilling” for that photo-op down on the gun range!  When Repuglicans start eating their own, they really do eat their own!  A word of caution to Jeb, it’s not wise to snub the one who brung your brother to the dance!

So many screw-ups, so little time, Josh Bolton better get busy!  Coming soon, another announcement regarding the Bush White House personnel shake up during, “this most critical moment of our nation’s history”! There will be an opening for a new speech writer with some fresh new ideas!

An addendum to yesterday’s post---Have my prayers truly been answered?  Is justice really going to prevail?  Has George Bush’s “brain” finally been caught in crimes of his own making? OR is this just another Rovian underhanded sleaze ball trick to try and discredit the reporters who write for prominent liberal internet web sites?  Past history tells us Rove will do anything to accomplish a goal, and since Bush cannot function without his “brain,” look out for devious bumps on the road to justice! My prayers continue and my faith in justice has not waned!  I continue to await that “frog march” out of the White House and into jail!
