What with gasoline prices mimicking “Sputnik,” something else that really needs stressing---Insurance companies and HMOs are nothing more than a very expensive form of socialized corporate medicine! Out of pocket expenses for insurance and/or HMO coverage are exorbitant and you can only choose your care from their “list” of providers! Doesn’t sound like the freedom to choose, now does it?

The Bush administration appallingly wraps all their criminal activity in the patriotic red, white, and blue of safety and security for America, while they dismantle democracy one Constitutional line at a time! Apparently the only way to be heard is to “leak” to the press--- for example, Russell Tice tried to do it the right way, by going to Congress last December and asking for an opportunity to be heard. “Russell Tice, who worked on what are known as 'special access programs,' has wanted to meet in a closed session with members of Congress and their staff since President Bush announced in December that he had secretly authorized the NSA to eavesdrop on U.S. citizens without a court order. In an interview late Thursday, Tice said the Senate Armed Services Committee finally asked him to meet next week in a secure facility on Capitol Hill.” It’s taken 5 months for his request to be granted in this arrogantly, over inflated, Repuglican dominated government. Given what’s happened to the lives and/or reputations of all who have attempted to bring truth to power regarding the Bush administration, my prayers are with Mr. Tice!

Now that they’re being used like pawns in a game of chess, I wonder how the patriots who joined the National Guard are feeling about this latest move to boost the poll numbers of a moron? Talk about mixed messages and the incompetence of this entire Repuglican administration; to the Guard he’s saying we need you to protect our borders, to the President of Mexico he’s saying, don’t pay any attention to the Guard, I still want to be friends! What’s that old saying, something about ACTIONS being louder than LIES?

“When he was asked about the National Security Agency's controversial domestic surveillance program last Monday, U.S. intelligence chief John D. Negroponte objected to the question and said the government was 'absolutely not' monitoring domestic calls without warrants.” How in the world can anyone in their right mind trust the word of a man who allegedly turned a blind eye to terrorism while serving as Reagan’s Ambassador to Honduras in the '80s? Damn the how, and disregard the law and the Constitution, that’s their motto, all these guys really care about is their ultimate goal of world domination!

“Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), who was briefed on the program, said the collection of call records was legal and that disclosures of its existence harm national security.” This of course assumes that the American public and Osama bin Laden are as stupid as some in the Bush administration! Disclosure of the domestic spy program harms national security??? I don’t think sooo, collecting data on every mom and pop in America doesn’t compromise national security, it only compromises the privacy of American citizens, and if you think bin Laden doesn’t have a clue about being “monitored” then you’re as dense as George W. Bush!

Repuglicans will give lip service to the myth that “racism in America is over” when courting votes and trying to get rid of affirmative action legislation, but in fact racism still exists in America and can be found in some of the most unusual places! Take a look at a modern day “Latin class” at Brookland-Cayce High School, in South Carolina, to see that racism continues to be the abomination that definitely has not gone away!

Have my prayers truly been answered? Is justice really going to prevail? Has George Bush’s “brain” finally been caught in crimes of his own making? Will we get to see Karl Rove “frogmarched” in handcuffs out of the White House? If in the end justice wins out, then the answers are yes, yes, and a great big yes! And then exactly how long will it take for justice to seek out the rest of these criminals posing as statesmen?
