Bush appeared before an audience on Monday to give another “pep rally” speech regarding Iraq.  It was billed as a “rare public forum,” but seemed to be just another staged opportunity for media consumption with a few so-called “hard questions” giving him a medium to explain his flawed point of view.  Even the best scripted appearances sometimes through ad libs can give a glimpse into the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, "Another questioner suggested that the president had damaged his credibility in the run-up to war by linking Iraq to terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.  Bush took issue with the assertion that he had tied Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. 'I was careful never to say that Saddam Hussein ordered the attack on America,' he said."  The key words here were "I was careful never to say," revealing the fact that indeed there was an all out effort to link Saddam to 9-11!  And lo and behold, right there in front of God and everybody, he actually told another bald-faced lie. "... a review of his comments in the run-up to the war shows the president did link Iraq to the Sept. 11 attacks. For example, in a letter to Congress, Bush said the use of force against Iraq was part of an attack on 'those nations, organizations or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.'"

The problem with a lot of people in America is the same basic psychological phenomenon George Bush, Dick Cheney, and the rest of this gang of thugs posing as politicians suffer from---they cannot admit they are wrong!  They have a hard time ‘fessing up because the consequences of doing so are overwhelming!  For one to admit support for an unnecessary war, is admitting responsibility for the deaths of thousands of innocent people and over 2300 American soldiers.  A whole lot of people here in the United States including members of Congress, and George Bush have a completely different concept of what they would like to think they are and what they really are and that’s where the dilemma comes in----to think of oneself as being benevolent while not wanting to help the poor, or to think of oneself as a statesman when in effect your allegiance is to lobbyists, or to think of oneself as being a brave, bold leader when in essence you’re actually a coward, presents a paradigm of confusion and opposes admission.  So, you see this is the driving force behind those who continue to support the failed policies of Iraq and George W. Bush, and why he’ll never admit to ever having made a mistake! We don’t have to wait for history, Russ Feingold has already been vindicated, he is a true statesman, a real man of honor who has the courage and the conviction to stand and speak up for what he believes in---The Constitution of the United States and the rule of law!

“Her doctors and family say her cancer was caused by exposure to toxic dust from the World Trade Center site.” Post 9-11 deaths due to contaminated air quality are the direct result of White House influence that altered EPA reports by deleting cautionary statements and adding reassuring statements.  How in God’s name can anyone trust anything the Bush administration has to say?  For the Bushes it’s all for profit, fun and games spin, while for us it’s nothing but death and destruction at every turn of events!  This hero’s death unto itself is enough to prove criminal negligence on the part of the Bush administration, and since the “buck” stops at the top, then George Bush bears the responsibility for the irresponsibility and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

The final kicker, and the real reason for Bush’s farcical “rare public forum,” came in answer to, "why he deemed Iraq --- which turned out not to have weapons of mass destruction --- as enough of a threat three years ago to launch an invasion, in contrast to nuclear-ambitious Iran today. ... he said Iran was a concern. He stressed that he's willing to go to war with Iran to protect Israel. 'I've made it clear, and I'll make it clear again, that we will use military might to protect our ally, Israel.'" Using Israel as provocation and an excuse, he’s making preparations to invade Iran and continue the PNAC plan to dominate the world!  If Iraq is an illustration of how things turn out in the end when this insane administration calls up the nukes, bombs and bullets, invading Iran will do nothing to secure the safety of Israel and will most certainly make the entire Middle East as well as the rest of the world politically and environmentally more dangerous than ever! God help America and God help Israel!

Frankly, when George Bush utters those rather infamous words, “some say,” get ready for a slight twist on what’s coming from the deep dark recesses of his own mind.  Given the fact no one but him has said anything resembling what he’s implying, it’s evident he and his speech writers are reflecting their personal opinions as well as doubts! He is in effect publicly arguing with himself, a rather bizarre occurrence coming from a self-proclaimed brave, bold leader! As with all things Bush, this is indeed his house made of straw!

Fear and revenge during war time is gut wrenching and inescapable, and the men who would lead us into war should bear the responsibility for the horror they’ve created, especially when defense was not necessary!  Every act such as the one alleged in this massacre should rightfully fall on the shoulders of those men who sit in their air-conditioned offices planning more of the same, for they are equally, if not more, guilty than those who actually carried it out!

In a nutshell, the current blitz of “rare public forum” Bush speeches is just another opportunity to lie and cover up the truth!  Iraq has been the worst mistake any president has ever made in these United States.  George Bush entered the political realm with one goal in mind, and that was to begin his march on world domination beginning in Iraq.  The biggest threat to our democracy isn’t coming from without but rather from within!

We went to see "V" over the weekend, it is a must see and highly recommended for each and every person who values democracy!  I definitely want a "V" bumper sticker!
