“Private equity firm The Carlyle Group established a team to acquire public-purpose facilities such as ports a day after a United Arab Emirates company said it would transfer newly acquired operations at American ports to a U.S. organization.” Sounds like a whole lot of monkey business going on here to me!!!

Another example of Repuglican double standard----while the Repuglicans consider breasts and a wardrobe malfunction taboo for the public at large; the party of “family values” and all those drooling male members of Congress in Washington think it’s OK if you’re a female Repuglican running for the United States Senate to display your assets. It seems Pink Spandex and an ample Bust line at the Rodeo in an attempt to garner the vote is more than acceptable!

My mind keeps coming back to the Associated Press report regarding the civilians killed in Iraq during a raid north of Baghdad early Wednesday! The word “ONLY” stands out and makes me sick on my stomach, it makes my heart hurt! If they were members of my family, “only” would be an insult to the death they’ve suffered and the horror I must endure! I do not believe any innocent human being is an “only”! Police and relatives said "11 people, mostly women and children" were killed. “But the military said only four people were killed - a man, two women and a child.” My God, what have we become when killing even one child equals “only”?

Actually, if one were to really stop and think about it, George Bush and the Repuglican Party have done more to undermine “freedom and democracy” in these United States than any other person or party could ever do! Questioning patriotism and claiming debate “sends the wrongheaded message” is just an attempt by the Repuglicans to cover up the deeds and stifle the truth about George Bush and his criminal activities. Ordering up preemptive wars, torture and abuse, detainment without counsel, illegal wire tapping, outing covert CIA agents, among other things, are all an affront and a direct assault on democracy! “American values” have convoluted into “Repuglican party values” thus the “Contract with America” has become an “Attack on America”!

Has anyone else noticed how Scott McClellan looks and sounds like one of those wind 'em up Energizer bunnies with a monotone, disjointed speech pattern? Now this isn’t an attack on him personally, it’s just wondering if the military has perfected a technological robot that resembles a human being and can be used by the moron in chief at will, to accomplish nothing at all when he has a need for confusing confabulation?

“MCCLELLAN: There's a whole section in there about Iraq and the decision to remove Saddam Hussein and his regime from power. The president believes it was the right decision to remove Saddam Hussein and his regime from power. His regime was a destabilizing force in a troubled region.” Golly, gee, and I thought it was because Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction and he was an imminent threat! Silly me! It’s amazing how these jerks rewrite history with a straight face and a self-righteous attitude; we’re still getting lies, lies, and more lies! God, it must have been terrible for Poppy and Barb when George was growing older!

Hmm, those voting machines down in Florida have got to be rigged! Katherine Harris is staying in the race for Senate and plans to spend ten million dollars of her own money which more or less guarantees she knows something we also know, but cannot prove at this point! Though, given the way the money train goes for members of today’s Repuglican Congress, ten million is just a drop in the bucket and can be recouped pretty damn quick if you’re well connected, the lobbyists know where to find you and you can hang on to a corrupt majority! Ten million dollars and rigged voting machines?? Bill Nelson’s gonna need all the help he can get.

Sometimes the things we pray for can materialize and bite us in the behind. Take Sandra Day O’Connor for example----she chose not to retire under a Democratic President for her personal reasons of politic, she then cast her judicial vote for George Bush thus guaranteeing his theft of a presidency, now she’s having to swallow the problematic consequences! Even so, she does have a modicum of contrition and has spoken out against those who would turn a presidency into a dictatorship! Ahh, if only we could go back and undo the egregious wrongs we’ve committed!

Thanks very much, Paul and J.C.” No wonder Blitzer cut it off there! I seriously doubt Watts was really aware of the implication of what he was saying! But for the first time in my life, I find myself agreeing with a Repuglican talking head! YES, IF PREVENTIVE OR PREEMPTIVE HAD BEEN EXECUTED WHEN BUSH RECEIVED THAT INFAMOUS AUGUST THE 6TH PDB, THEN WE "PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE HAD ... 9-11!!!"

“SCOTT MCCLELLAN, WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY: No one said that combat operations weren't ongoing.” Errr, in fact, with a banner blazing “Mission Accomplished” behind him on an aircraft carrier 20 or 30 miles off the coast of California, George Bush said, “MAJOR COMBAT IS OVER”! “QUIJANO: Administration officials insist, they have learned better intelligence is needed. They also argue, Iraq is not a preemptive war, saying 12 years of diplomacy preceded the U.S.-led invasion.” Another subtle yet distinctive slight of tongue to rewrite their bungling---at the time “preemption” and “shock and awe” were attributed to “mushroom clouds, yellow-cake from Niger, WMDs, missiles aimed at the U.S., and imminent threats”! My, my, how they do deny, deny! And whatever happened to that absolutely telling “intelligence” that specifically stated, "Osama determined to attack within the U.S.?"
