Russ Feingold is emerging as a voice in the wilderness of what freedom and democracy should be!  His questions, his decisions and his votes have most certainly been proven to be correct, even if it took the rest of the pack months on end to join him!  I do believe “visionary” would be an accurate description of Senator Feingold, and that he’s a man to watch, when weighing a choice for leadership in America in 2008.

If “curfews” and “banning the use of private vehicles” is your idea of “freedom and democracy” then you most definitely think like George Bush!  If you believe the inability to move freely on the streets and in places of worship is reflective of a “free” society, then Iraq is the place for you!  On second thought, maybe it’s the best place for George W. Bush, the potential of gaining the ultimate most powerful position of a dictator is most promising in Iraq these days, thanks to Bush and his cronies.  Of course before the Iraqis embrace their liberator George W. Bush, some consideration must be given to that age old adage of “jumping from the frying pan into the fire”!

It’s too bad, the stock market doesn’t sell “futures” on the Dubai Ports deal, because that would be a sure way to make some big bucks.  Especially since Bush has already promised the ports to the UAE!

Always suspicious of anything Repuglican, I’ve pondered over the very public, very irate opposition to the Dubai Ports deal from the radical side of the aisle.  It finally dawned on me, this whole uproar is just some more Repuglican smoke and mirrors, because Dubai Ports World is already a done deal for George Bush!  In order to give the Repuglicans some leverage in the 2006 election cycle, they needed something related to guaranteeing the “safety and security” of America, and what better way than to oppose a questionable security decision made by a president whose poll numbers are in free fall!  The strategy here is to raise a big stink, oppose an unpopular security decision that’s ALREADY BEEN APPROVED!  45 days of investigation, controversy, posturing, and full media coverage that means absolutely nothing because in the end, the moron has already gotten what he wants, and the Repuglican hopefuls are provided a “safety and security” platform package come November!  Nice farce when you can get it, except for the fact it’s not a joke on us when our safety and security are in danger!

In keeping with the traditions of southern Democrats turned Repuglican, Georgia is now headed back down the road of regression!  Under the tutelage of Governor Sonny Perdue (one time Democrat turned Repuglican) "the Georgia State Senate approved three bills supported by Georgia Right to Life ('The Unborn Victims of Violence Act'). One measure requires a woman to undergo an ultrasound before having an abortion; another protects pharmacists from disciplinary action if they refuse to fill prescriptions for drugs that terminate a pregnancy. The third would allow prosecutors to charge someone who kills a pregnant woman with two crimes."  Yessirree bobtail, a return to the dark ages for the women of Georgia, all thanks to the neo-Repuglicans in Georgia!  When will the people in this country realize, that anti-choice, really means anti-poor, because back in the day before Roe v Wade, those ladies from the more affluent sections of society, were able to afford travel to foreign places where abortion was legal, very quietly and without aplomb they took care of that pesky little problem of an unwanted pregnancy, thus making sure the folks down at the Sunday meetings never knew what they had done, while poor women were left risking their lives to back-room quacks, after finding out douching with coca-cola and jumping off roof tops didn’t work!

Given his penchant for revenge connected to his falling poll numbers here at home, learning that George Bush is trading “nukes for mangoes” does not come as a surprise! “President Bush, eager to expand trade with India, today agreed to share our civilian nuclear power technology to help India meet its growing needs. In return, President Bush hailed an expanded trade agreement between the two countries.  The president said, and I quote, 'The United States is looking forward to eating Indian mangoes.'"  Look out America, past history tells us, the worst is yet to come!  By the time he’s finished there will be nothing left, “Of the people, By the people, and For the people”!

Alberto Gonzales is a poster boy for all that is wrong with lawyers today!  Parsing words and spinning testimony is the trademark of an unscrupulous scoundrel. And, guess what, thanks to George Bush and a Repuglican dominated Congress, that's what we have for an Attorney General!

If you really want a glimpse of Bush’s brain at work, then it would behoove you to take a peek at the latest “State Department Cable” regarding a “quietly orchestrated major shift in U.S. policy toward Iran,” requesting $85 million for a plan “not just to contain Tehran’s nuclear ambitions but also to topple the Iranian government.”  Look out, world, George Bush is on the path of another preemptive debacle.
