Unfortunately Fascism has become the landscape of America and like so many Germans pre-WWII most Americans didn’t even know it had arrived!  We are living “freedom and democracy” according to Hitler and George Bush!  The rest of the world knows it and while there is no one country willing to redeem us, we are being boxed in by those who refuse to get caught up in the Bush/Cheney doctrine.  A conservative agenda was so important to the radical Repuglicans they failed to realize that even they would be neutered if and when the choice is them or the Bush/Cheney Motherland, err excuse me, Homeland!

While there are some Democrats in Congress who keep saying “Howard Dean doesn’t speak for me,” he damn sure speaks for a majority of populace Democrats, a significant fact that Congressional Dems sure as hell should be paying attention to!  There is a considerable number of Americans who feel that they’ve been left behind by those calling the shots in government, and we are just chomping at the bit for someone brave enough to step up to the plate and tell it like it is, no more namby-pamby, spineless negotiation with those who prefer fascism to democracy, no more playing nice to the radical elements in American society, no more hidden agendas, we the people want to reclaim our Constitutional rights, we want to reclaim our country, we are out here in the hills, and the dales, we’re in the cities and on the plains, we are everywhere from “sea to shinning sea,” just waiting for someone with the backbone it takes to overcome those whose “selfish gain” no longer “stains the banner of the free”!

Give me a blue dress, personal sexual misconduct, and a president that knows what he’s doing any day over one whose claim to fame is thousands of innocent people, as well as over 2300 American soldiers dead because of his mistakes!  If it weren’t so horrific, it would really be the darkest of dark comedy to say the Repuglicans are better than the Democrats on security, now that George Bush has shown the entire world how really bad the Repuglicans are for the safety and security of the American people!

It’s time to stop thinking; if you’re innocent nothing can happen to you!  As Mr. Maher Arar, a Canadian citizen found out, it can and will happen, no matter innocence!  And if you think you can have your day in court, forget it, as Mr. Arar also found out when he brought suit against the US government: “The government said the case could not even be dealt with because the litigation would involve the revelation of state secrets.” For the Bush administration, kidnapping, rendition, torture and abuse of innocent people are now “state secrets” which really aren’t secret, but it sure beats having to accept responsibility for committing crimes against humanity!!!  Sounds like some of the same methods I’ve heard used against the Iraqi people, you know, the ones that Bush invaded Iraq to release its people from having to endure by Saddam Hussein!

Hellllooo, doesn’t anyone remember, George Bush has extensive ties to the profits that can be made with Middle-Eastern businessmen?  What was all that about business dealings with the bin Laden family, Arbusto, Bush Exploration, Spectrum, and finally Harken?  How many times was Jr. bailed out of his failed business ventures?  Of course he wants to sell American port operations to the UAE, it’s insurance for his next venture, whatever that may be!!!

Yessirree bobtail, George is spending American taxpayer dollars the same way he spent Poppy’s money, as though it comes from a bottomless pit and pockets full---on himself, to make sure he can continue the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed!

Sign this petition and then call AOL and cancel your service---one sure way to guarantee no censorship, no charges and/or no preferential treatment by a service provider to their customers.  It hasn’t been that long ago I vowed not to use AOL at all due to these facts: “In 2000, AOL was widely exposed for filtering out such sites as the Democratic Party website and the Green Party website, while allowing children to visit the Republican Party website. In face of public outrage, AOL promised to clean up their act. They finally allowed children to visit the Democratic Party website. But other restrictions remain. AOL blocks access to many feminist websites and sites that promote tolerance of gays and lesbians, but AOL allows children to visit websites of religious right groups opposing civil rights for gays and opposing equality for women. AOL blocks sites that promote gun-control, but allows access to the sites of gun-manufacturers and the National Rifle Association – a group that opposes all gun-control unless that control is age-based.” Reason enough to spend your hard-earned money someplace else!

"Russell Tice, a former intelligence officer at the National Security Agency (NSA), charged that there were 'illegalities and unconstitutional activity' in the agency's so-called special-access programmes, but was advised that he could not discuss them even with members of the Senate and House Intelligence Committees in closed session. 'Tice: … this is drilled into our heads, continually, that you do not spy on Americans.  It is gospel.  The American people may not know the full extent of what’s involved.  It’s been reported that only maybe a couple thousand communications have been involved.  But are you talking about communications that have been whittled down from millions, and ultimately, these are the conversations that were looked at by analysts?  In which case, you know you’re talking about a haystack that’s been filtered to get a shoe box full of straw.' Ensor (voice over): Tice says the information he has about lawbreaking in the NSA special access programs is another NSA bombshell waiting to be revealed, but he has just received a letter from NSA that forbids him from telling the House and Senate Intelligence Committees what he knows, because they are not authorized to hear it." Which leads to the question, just who has authorized NSA to illegally spy on whom?  By eliminating checks and balances, and the law, this administration has managed the biggest coup in the entire history of the world.  America is being led by a moron down the road to his interpretation of Armageddon!

Another suck-up by John McCain, after what the Bush campaign did to him in S.C. you’d think McCain would have had the self-respect not to be a lap dog for Bush!  You’d also think McCain would have learned a lesson in who can be trusted and who can’t, if McCain thinks Bush and his base will support his run for the presidency in 2008 because he’s been a good little lackey then he’d do better to remember Campaign 2000!
