No heart attack is minor, and bird shot lodged in the heart is a hell of a lot more serious than “just a complication”!  Along with the help of radical mainstream corporate media the Bush administration in general and Dick Cheney in particular are trying to sell us the Brooklyn Bridge accompanied by a bill of goods so bizarre as to be utterly ridiculous.  As usual with Cheney, they tend to try and downplay any and all heart conditions, be it personal or one due to shooting a friend!  Pellets from a shot-gun shell that “migrate” to the heart and cause a heart attack tell us it was by far more serious than accidentally being “peppered”!  What else are they not telling us and why?

“Cheney … called Whittington at his hospital room … to offer his best wishes, according to a statement issued by the vice president’s office. Mr. Whittington’s spirits were good … but obviously his situation deserves the careful monitoring his doctors are providing.”  How very gracious of the Vice President, to offer his best wishes and to concede that Mr. Whittington “deserves” careful monitoring after, he, the Vice President shot Mr. Whittington in the face, neck, and chest!

“SIMPSON: … But when this man, the victim, the poor guy, it‘s a sad thing what happened to him, but it has less to do with Dick Cheney and much more to do with him.”  Did I miss something here, wasn’t Dick Cheney the one who carried the shotgun, wasn’t it Dick Cheney who fired the shotgun at a man and not a bird?  How in God’s name does one mistake a man for a bird?  With all due disrespect to Alan Simpson, you sir are an idiot, you sir have “swiftboated” one of your own, you have called into question the first rule in gun safety:  Rule #1. When hunting birds, be sure you’re shooting a bird and not a man when firing the shotgun!!!

“SIMPSON: … and hunting in the West is not just an elitist sport.  It‘s getting meat.”  When it comes right down to it, I’ve always thought the Repuglicans would eat their own if it’s politically advantageous!  Now, thanks to former senator Alan Simpson, we know for sure when it becomes political, they will hunt them down, shoot them, and then wherever possible on radical television talk shows, they will chew them up and spit them out!!!

"You should respect the office of the President, respect the fact he was at the funeral and leave it at that."  An office is an intangible thing and standing alone does not command anything whatsoever---respect is earned by those who inhabit the office.  When a moron steals the space and fails at everything, he has not earned respect, nor does he deserve it!  Simply because he knows how to slouch in a chair in an office, at a funeral in a church, or anywhere else, for that matter, does not mean he can command respect!!!

“The Associated Press reported, but CNN hasn't independently confirmed, that the police obtained a wiretap, where Gretzky asks about how his wife can avoid being implemented in the probe.” Hmm, how and where did the police obtain that “wiretap”???  Did someone just happen to overhear a conversation while trolling for “terrorists” that local police might be interested in obtaining, or was it done the old-fashioned way---legally---?

If a tale about terrorists being stopped in 2001 is all they can come up with to try and justify domestic wiretapping, I’d say it’s politically motivated and a lame excuse in a bag full of excuses!  First question, where are all the terrorists who were supposedly arrested?  Second question, why have they not been brought to trial?  Third question, in the thousands of wire taps, is this all you’ve got after 5 years of supposedly protecting American security with illegal wire taps?  It’s all beginning to Harken like everything else George Bush has ever done, just another failure in a life filled with failures and excuses!

“At least one deputy showed up at the ranch’s front gate later in the evening and asked to speak to Cheney but was turned away by the Secret Service.”  Since when has the Secret Service become the police???  Who exactly gave the Secret Service the authority to turn local law enforcement away from investigating an event involving the shooting of a human being?  Are we no longer a land of laws?  Does this administration think they are above the law?  Is the Secret Service the equivalent of the SS Schutzstaffel?  Are we witnessing a modern day return of Hitler’s Nazi private army of “black shirts”?  This is what we can expect when absolute power corrupts absolutely!  Impeach these guys before it’s too late!!!
