“BLITZER: It's also a day to remember King's life, yet some used the occasion to make some veiled references to issues affecting the country today...” How dare Wolf Blitzer say “that some used the occasion” of Coretta Scott King’s Celebration of Life “to make some veiled references to issues affecting the country today”! There was nothing “veiled” in the comments made, there was nothing roundabout or disguised about the truth that was brought to the fore by those brave enough to tell it! Lest you forget, Wolf Blitzer, a whole lot of those attending and speaking during this most wonderful celebration are the same ones who braved the furor of bigots across this land, they suffered beatings, bombings, and, yes, murders to bring their message and their cause to fruition! Mrs. Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, was a leader in those endeavors after her husband was assassinated by some of those very same bigots. She was a tower of strength tearing down opposition with dignity and grace wherever bigotry was smoldering, she used her energies to help the poor, to raise the oppressed, and to change the world for the better in ways that will never be forgotten. So I say to you, Wolf Blitzer, take your cheap shots and your not so “veiled” Bush suck-ups and stuff it!!!

People in glass houses should not be about the business of casting stones! To criticize the cultural tradition of how “liberals act at funerals,” only leaves Kate O’Beirne wide open for questions on just what is the proper way to bury someone you love and exactly how would you do it, Ms. O’Beirne! Are the traditions of one “Wake” really any better than another??? Are the actions of one group of people really any better than another group? Do you honestly believe “screeching” and spreading hatred is really more deserving of applause, than the effort made to lift the poor and the weak? But then I forget, Ms. O’Beirne, you are a conservative Repuglican, and you do make a living off of the utter hate-filled drivel you pedal on television!

Yesterday my dear friend and neighbor told me God really had put me in the place where I needed to be, right at home in front of the television, watching a marvelous Celebration of Coretta Scott King’s life! The reasons for my neighbor’s comment were as follows; had I actually attended the Celebration, had I been there, as soon as George Bush managed to pull his behind off his throne to speak, I would have stood in that Church and turned my back on the liar and the cheat, shouting a few four-letter words that cannot be repeated for publication! And when Reverend Lowery, Maya Angelou, Shirley Franklin, and Jimmy Carter as well as Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton spoke to the people and reminded us all about the virtues and successes of peaceful opposition, I would have rushed to the podium and kissed their feet in thanks! In a disrespectful undignified manner, I would have embarrassed a most respectful group of people in that great hall celebrating the achievements of one woman’s strength and fortitude, grace and dignity, vision and purpose! So I guess my neighbor and dear friend was right---God really had put me in the place I needed to be!

Ever since John McCain started sucking up to George Bush after what Bush did to him in South Carolina, I’ve known McCain was just another ordinary Repuglican snake in the grass who does not possess an iota of integrity! He’s a radical who has kow-towed to George Bush, bowing and scraping every chance he got! For McCain to go after Barack Obama on some trumped up hullabaloo because he sees political opportunity for garnering a particular radical base in order to attempt another stab at running for the presidency in 2008 is reprehensible. It just shows the world he’s nothing more than a two-faced radical Repuglican politician looking to oil his run!

What a refreshing opportunity for the people of Nevada---Jack Carter is running for the Senate---another son of another President, only this time Nevada and America will derive the benefits of having the truth in office! There is no better way for Nevada to send a message of restoring and again fortifying Democracy in America than electing Jack Carter. What a notable difference Jack Carter represents, it definitely is a beginning to bringing integrity back to Washington! Makes me want to move to Nevada, just so I can support the truth and vote for Jack Carter!

If at first you don’t succeed, then try, try again! When your own country fails you, then look elsewhere to obtain the aid for your people that’s needed after catastrophe strikes! Hooray for Mayor Ray Nagin, he’s not afraid of those who talk a good game but walk a crooked walk, and he will do whatever it takes to get the City of New Orleans back on the map!

"When you think of the level of anger, I'm not sure it's what Americans want," said Ken Mehlman, head of the Republican National Committee,” opining on Hillary Clinton! What the Repuglicans don’t realize is Democrats, Liberals, and Progressives across the nation think she’s not angry enough!
