Thank God for Maureen Farrell, she has been able to compile the facts and write them down in an organized, comprehensible testament that no one can deny!  We are in fact in deeper trouble than even I envisioned.  Thank you, Ms. Farrell, for your insight and your ability to categorize reality!  Thank you, BuzzFlash, for publishing this truth!

In ducking a question from Senator Joe Biden regarding how many terrorists has the NSA surveillance program been instrumental in bringing to justice i.e. arrested, Alberto Gonzales refused to answer by saying, “I will not say what steps were taken and what was done with the information obtained.”  The next question should have been; were United States citizens whisked away in planes to some undisclosed gulag in some obscure far away European Country to be tortured and/or murdered?  Were they refused their rights to counsel and a trial as mandated by the Constitution?  Who determined their guilt or innocence if this in fact was how this information was used?  This is what can happen if this administration is allowed to continue down this path of imperialism, in this climate of having a “unitary” president with powers that can negate Congressional oversight, this could happen to you even if you think you’re safe you’re not, and I know this because some “detainees” who were found to be NOT GUILTY of anything at all have been released after having endured incarceration, torture, and abuse!!!

Well folks here we are again, another Repuglican “Wag the Dog” Production, to make it appear as though these morons in Washington are doing the jobs they were hired to do!  We are being subjected to nothing more than a political farce directed by none other than Arlen Specter, who heretofore was thought to have a smidgeon of integrity, but has now proven without a doubt he’s nothing more than a “yes sir how far do you want me to bend over” Bush man!  By disallowing Alberto Gonzales to testify under oath, Specter has shown the world that the Repuglican party is all about politics rather than patriotism!  So much for their oath to protect the Constitution!  A little hilarity in today’s proceedings came from Jeff Sessions---while George Bush is implying the FISA law is “outdated” because it was written in 1978, the lunkhead from Alabama was quoting surveillance and intelligence issues regarding George Washington, the Civil War, and other times of ancient history to prove his rather asinine opinions and promote his excessively prolific praise of the Bush and Gonzales’ efforts.  One thing for sure, we are on the brink of Fascism, and as the Germans sadly came to realize in the end, the road back is much longer and by far much more difficult!

"The Minuteman Project is not a call to arms," a website statement declares, "but a call to voices seeking a peaceful and respectable resolve to the chaotic neglect by members of our local, state and federal governments …”  Ahh, if only they were as conscientious about protecting Democracy from some of our own in Washington, as much as they are about protecting our borders from foreigners!  That indeed would be an admirable endeavor for true patriots!

I wonder has any consideration been given to the fact that the Repuglicans in Congress and radical mainstream corporate media were so busy finding reasons to blame Bill Clinton for everything wrong in America, they didn’t and don’t take time to attend to the pressing dangers of terrorism facing our country?  Though they’d like to pin the blame on Clinton, it’s a fact that they are the ones who ignored terrorism and the intelligence warnings of terrorists wanting to attack inside the U.S.!  Like a teen-aged boy with a new found issue of Playboy, the Repuglicans and all those who participate in mainstream corporate media are always so engrossed in everyone’s titillating sexual affairs they fail to protect the safety and security of America.  One has to wonder are the Repuglicans and the media bobble-heads even aware that a majority of the people here in the U.S. and the people in the rest of the world are on to their incompetence and their dereliction of duty.

Just in case there are some who believe John Boehner represents reform---he doesn’t!  It’s all a smoke and mirrors Repuglican production to soothe the American people and lull their base into believing another lie!  Remember, these are the guys who believe “there is no truth, only perception, and you can get anyone to believe anything as long as you repeat it often enough”!!!!

Doesn’t it strike anyone as odd, that all these radical Repuglicans, who maintain they want a limited government, now want to give the executive branch of this same government unlimited access to our lives and are doing everything they can to overturn our rights to privacy?

McCarthyism has made a comeback with a vengeance, only this time it’s not Communists or Hollywood Jewish people they’re after!  This time it’s the Democrats, Progressives and Liberals they want to eliminate, while they, the Repugs, posture and pose for the cameras!  The Senate Judiciary Hearings on Bush’s illegal NSA domestic spy program revealed for one and all, this Repuglican Senate is comprised of numerous McCarthys all dressed up in modern day garb, attempting to defend the indefensible. Domestic spying without a court order is illegal. It is against the laws of the land, and no matter how they try to explain away George Bush’s illegal wire tapping, it is still a criminal act!!!

It wasn’t just foreign terrorists who struck America on 9-11! The White House deleted “cautionary” statements from EPA press releases regarding the air quality at “ground zero” and those who dedicated themselves to the search for survivors and the eventual clean-up efforts will be suffering the effects for years to come.  Already 22 American heroes have died from illnesses related to the toxic air quality surrounding “ground zero.”  22 families have suffered the loss of a family member they loved dearly. The horror of it all is there will be more to come, and the blame lies solely in the hands of George Bush and his administration!
