Another promise made by Bush that has become just empty words repeated for a photo-op!  It was nothing more than a hoax designed to make the moron look and sound good for the cameras!  There was never any intention to rebuild New Orleans, that oh so threatening Democratic fortress.  Frankly, it may have been nature that blew an ill wind into New Orleans, but it was a man-made disaster in the aftermath!  And George Bush was and is the man responsible for that disastrous aftermath!

“MR. RUSSERT:  Joe Lieberman, the Democratic senator from Connecticut, the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000, said that, "We undermine presidential credibility at our nation's peril."  Would someone please tell Joe Lieberman and the rest of these ditto head talkers, George Bush has undermined his own credibility! Bush has told so many lies it’s impossible to keep count and that is what undermined his credibility, WE haven’t done anything but say enough of the lies already!

And this says it all!!!!! “SEN. GRAHAM:  Did we make mistakes?  Yes.  Did we poorly plan the fall of Baghdad?  You'd better believe it.  Shinseki was right.  We should have had more troops.  We need more troops now, in my opinion.  This idea that it's a bunch of dead-enders is totally wrong.  The insurgency's got to be larger than 1/10th of 1 percent because Zarqawi's been able to survive this long.  So, yeah, we've made tons of mistakes.”  Who in God’s name would allow George Bush to continue making mistakes that result in the deaths of innocent people and American soldiers?  It’s INSANE to allow a moron to run this country!

“MR. RUSSERT:  Senator Graham,… Do you still stand by…those comments?  That Saddam supported the al-Qaeda murderers who plotted September 11th, and…he was an imminent threat?”  "SEN. GRAHAM:  I think the evidence that shows about the aluminum tubes, I authored a resolution before I went to the Senate, in the House, saying that he was an imminent threat.  And one of the pieces of evidence that was presented to me was the aluminum tubing.  And I can tell you about it now, we went to a secure room in the Capitol and they made the case, this could only be used for a nuclear centrifuge, to make a nuclear weapon."  HMMM,  just who were “they”?  Who told Senator Graham those tubes could only be used for a nuclear centrifuge, when both the State Department and the Dept. of Energy were saying NO?  Exactly who was it that told Sen. Graham that big fat lie?

”MR. RUSSERT:  But you no longer believed he was an imminent threat? SEN. GRAHAM:  Yeah, in terms of the weapons of mass destruction, they seem not to be available.  MR. RUSSERT:  But he was not an imminent threat to the U.S. at the time we went to war.  SEN. GRAHAM:  In the sense of possessing a weapon of mass destruction, that appears to be wrong. MR. RUSSERT:  What about his support of the al-Qaeda murderers who plotted against September 11th?  Do you--is there a linkage between September 11th and Saddam Hussein?  SEN. GRAHAM:  That seems to have fallen apart, Tim.  It really does.”  So tell me again---exactly why did we invade Iraq??

Regarding the upcoming elections in Iraq on Meet the Press yesterday Tim Russert asked this question of Senator Lindsey Graham, R-SC: “MR. RUSSERT:  Senator Graham, what's going to happen Thursday?  SEN. GRAHAM:  Well, I hope we have a larger turnout.  We're about to democratically elect a parliament.  We haven't done that yet.  These are people who actually are running for office that will write laws for the Iraqi people.” (Note the “we’s”)   FOOLISH ME, I thought the Iraqi people were about to “democratically elect a parliament.”  Could this be a Freudian slip, could it be that “WE” are about to rig another election that pulls the strings in favor of George Bush?

“MR. BROOKS:  Yeah.  And that's why I talked about the difference between inside and outside …. The whole Bush presidency, in the first days of Karen Hughes, has been, "We don't deal with those elites. We talk simple, straightforward messages," repeated endlessly to the American people. I once had a guy, a senior administration official, interrupt an interview I was doing.  He said, "You know, I just got back from the Oval Office.  The president was really subtle.  Then he goes out in public and he's like a cartoon figure.  What's going on here?"  And so they're finally getting over that communications strategy, which has been so blunt in public, but reasonably intelligent in private.”  And there you have it folks, straight from the conservative talking head’s mouth---it’s either another attempt to make Bush look as though he’s intelligent, or they really believe that other than the 1% of the rich elite Americans, the rest of us are just a bunch of simpletons who aren’t capable of complex critical thought!
