Certainly history will show what we already know---George Bush is the worst president ever---and to think he had to steal the office to achieve this sullied image!  Ahh, the irony of it all is surpassed only by the process.  Remember way back when---when Jr. needed the credibility of those he gathered round, you remember when all the Repuglicans were supporting the moron’s “experienced” cabinet choices---kinda gave him an air of nobility in what has now become a pseudo democracy.  At least that’s what those who were filled with the aggressiveness that arrogance power brings believed!  Dick Cheney, “After examining all the candidates, I came to believe I was the only man for the job” (the biggest chickenhawk in the coop); “Colin Powell, a man of honor and distinction” (not to mention the most loyal to the cause, whatever it is, ever produced by the military); “Donald Rumsfeld, brings not only experience but integrity” (my stomach cramps at even thinking about this dotty old fool in charge of anything); “Condi Rice, another experienced government service person (in what, I haven’t a clue as far as I’m concerned, she is just another retread left over from Poppy’s dismal presidency, not to mention her undying loyalty to her man); you get the picture and the rest are all etc. ,etc., etc.!  Where have all the Repuglicans gone in this made in America presidency???----why they’ve run for the hills, chickenhawks that they are, they’re in retreat, now that the whole world knows George Bush and this entire administration is the worst ever!

Will the irony of it all in the end boil down to---George Bush having given the Iranians everything Reagan and Poppy were trying to avoid by supporting Saddam Hussein way back when?  Will the Iranians not have to lift a finger to achieve the success of Iraq’s becoming an Islamic state?  Instead of freedom and democracy, has Bush accomplished the establishment of an Islamic state, as suggested by the much touted Iraqi Constitution, and the more sinister evidence of genocide?

Poor George, he can’t even distinguish the difference between humans who wear flowing black robes and God!  “After the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the former official said, he was told that Bush felt that 'God put me here' to deal with the war on terror.”  Err, the decision made by 5 of the Supreme Court judges wasn’t divine, even though this particular group of 5 and George Bush may think they are God, they are simply human beings dressed up in black robes with all the frailties, foibles, and mistakes that come with the human condition.  It would do well for George to open his eyes the next time he bends his knees, perhaps then he will see that Scalia, Thomas, O’Connor, and Kennedy, are nothing more than mere mortals!   While Rehnquist was still a human being at the time of the decision, he has succumbed, as all humans must, to death and is now floating around in the ethereal somewhere.  One has to wonder how many conversational tidbits are bantered back and forth between George and William!  Needless to say, it’s really scary knowing the president of the United States, the man with his finger on the doomsday button, the man who is supposedly in charge of the safety and security of America, has a screw loose in that minuscule space he calls a brain!

My nephew once told me, somewhat apologetically, “I voted for Bush, because I’m military,” which struck me as a rather dumb statement---you don’t vote for someone because of your career status, you vote for someone on their merits, or so I thought!  George Bush tells us our troops are fighting in Iraq to bring freedom and democracy---I pause to wonder whose freedom and whose democracy are we fighting for, especially when I hear my nephew verbalize his reasons to vote for a particular presidential candidate or when I read this very telling statement: "'I have no problem going over there, doing what my country asks,' said Matt, who asked that his name not be used because he was afraid of retaliation from his superiors. 'But sometimes it seems like there's no point any more. We've gone, we did what we needed to do, but we're still there. That country's always going to be fighting. That's their history. If we were to stay till we're finished, we'd probably never leave.'"

Geez, what’s a “regular guy” to do?  How in the world can anyone think there’s time left over to secure the country when it takes every bit of energy and time to save his own behind?  If saving close to 400 million Americans is more important than the me, myself, and I “regular guy,” then they’ve got the wrong “regular guy” to do the job.  If past history is a clue to present behavior---pretty soon and he’s outta here, just needs a little more time to secure his personal fortunes before he leaves, because then another “insider’s trading” job will be all wrapped up and delivered!

Another, oops, now that I’ve been caught how do I spin my way out of this dilemma! The headline reads, “Republican fesses up to blog ID raid,” while an attempt was made to blame Democrats, Laura Teal (“campaign staffer for gubernatorial candidate Marc Holtzman”) finally had to fess up when “e-mail records” showed that “Teal, a Republican, and two acquaintances actually were the ones involved.”  And what excuse does Ms. Teal give as motive---"Teal said ‘she merely was trying to help identify the people who started Coloradopols.com ….The hope was to figure out who was behind a great blog.'" Again, another Repuglican attempt to spin their way out of an otherwise compromising situation!
