Barbara's Daily BuzzFlash Minute A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons. November 30, 2005 * * * How anyone can believe George Bush’s claims to caring about the troops in Iraq after reading stories regarding soldiers who have returned home with depleted uranium poisoning is beyond me. This is lower than despicable, these assh*&$@s posing as leaders in American government today are without shame or remorse, and if true American patriots don’t stand up and say NO MORE to this diabolical cabal, then we are doomed to a fate worse than anything ever imagined!! We are killing and maiming our own soldiers with Bush’s Weapons of Mass Destruction. * * * Thanks to George Bush and his mandate on what constitutes torture, we are no longer that symbolic “Shining City Upon the Hill”! The European Union is questioning American interrogation practices: "The mood in Europe is one of increasing concern over what people call the American 'gulag' and the reports of all these stopovers in Europe for prisoners." Has the Bush administration succeeded in totally isolating America? Our neighbors to the south, our neighbors to the north, and now the European Union are all decrying the illicit practices of our government. What do we have to look forward to in the global scheme of things? Does the Bush administration really want it to be us against the entire world? * * * Too bad the founding fathers didn’t have the foresight to anticipate the Bush administration. If they had, and we could just get rid of this whole cabal with a vote of “no confidence,” that would go a long way in improving the American condition! * * * The fate of Col. Ted Westhusing could be the answer as to why so many hesitate to speak up! A bullet to the head, an investigation that rules death by suicide, another life written off in one fell swoop, while business proceeds as usual!!! “Patriotism”? “Noble Cause”? “Freedom and Democracy”? My behind, George Bush’s war on “terrah” is all about the almighty dollar! The heart-rending, distressing result is the lives of so many noble patriots are lost in this ill-conceived, diabolical battle of greed! * * * “Much to Bush's relief, political mastermind Karl Rove is said to be engaged in day-to-day strategy, even though he still could be indicted in the CIA leak case. Some in the White House think Rove is a continuing drain and has also hurt Bush's recovery by not clearing the reputation of spokesman Scott McClellan, who repeatedly told reporters Rove assured him he had nothing to do with leaking covert agent Valerie Plame's name, even though it's now clear he did.” If it comes down to a choice--Scott McClellan can kiss the White House Good-bye! When will they realize, George needs that bug in his ear named Karl, without Karl, George cannot function! * * * According to an article in NY Daily News regarding George Bush and current conditions, "He's asking [friends] for opinions on who he can trust and who he can't," one knowledgeable source said.” Look out world, we’re entering the twilight zone of extreme paranoia and things will get worse! Unchecked mental illness has a way of spiraling downward into chaos. Under normal conditions one would have some compassion for someone suffering, but folks, wake up and smell the confusion, this guy, George, has his finger on that proverbial red button that in the end could spell the end for us all!!! Having eliminated all the checks and balances, the fate of the entire world rests in the hands of a man whose mental capacity is at the very least questionable! * * * "Hersh paints the picture a president who believes that he was chosen by God to lead the United States after 9/11, a man whose faith blots out any concern over setbacks in Iraq. 'The president is more determined than ever to stay the course,' a former defense official tells Hersh. Bush is a believer in the adage, People may suffer and die, but the Church advances.'" In the real world, this is most commonly known as delusions of grandeur, a symptom of extreme mental incapacity! * * * “Bush is a believer in the adage 'People may suffer and die, but the Church advances.'"---“The further we go, the behinder we get.” Once again, thanks to George Bush, we find ourselves going backwards, way back into medieval times. In a saner world, someone would have the sense to see to it he gets the help he needs for his “mental condition,” to put it mildly! Is it possible or highly probable, as we’ve seen so often in those public service commercials, that his “youthful indiscretions” indeed fried his brain? God help us all! * * *
