As Bush’s poll numbers sink even lower, the hairs on the back of my neck get higher! Remembering we live in a time when terrorism can strike in any given locality, again I am reminded of 9-11, of color coded “terror alerts,” of all the lies, all the cover-ups, of preemptive wars years in the making, of intentionally inflicted fear, of diversions, of a Repuglican dominated Congress more worried about their politics than about the safety and security of America - ,ad I wonder what’s next in this “gate-game”, what’s next for America, what will they come up with this time in order to bolster George Bush’s poll numbers?

It finally occurred to me that the radical extremists from way down here in the South have managed to do what they’ve always wanted to do--- revive the Civil War! Only this time it’s the radical religious extremists coupled with the Repuglican party who are fighting democracy and mainstream America! They’ve managed to divide this country in ways far worse than even the Johnny Rebs against the Union Jacks ever did! This is an insidious war of stealth, one that eats away at the very core of democracy, a war that seeks to impose and force their particular religious and political persuasions on the entire nation. Theirs is to condemn and dehumanize homosexuals, Democrats, liberals, people of color, and all those who don’t fit into their rigid radical political and religious bias. This war has been a long time in the making, and they won’t stop, unless and until they are exposed for their hideous acts of discrimination.

“The CIA has been hiding and interrogating some of its most important al Qaeda captives at a Soviet-era compound in Eastern Europe, according to U.S. and foreign officials familiar with the arrangement.” Lest we forget---the CIA now belongs to George Bush and his appointee Porter Goss! You know - that former CIA agent who became a millionaire and was then elected to Congress and co-sponsored the Patriot Act - Porter Goss! Yessirree, that Porter Goss, is now running CIA operations! So it’s safe to conclude that today’s CIA is as attached to George Bush as a stinger is to a wasp!

Way back in ’91 or ’92 a “psychic” once said on television, “George Bush would be the last president of the United States.” Of course when Bill Clinton came along and got elected, those that heard the prediction thought just another TV psychic with a “psycho” prediction. Ten years later, however, enter stage right a real “psycho,” George Bush! Given his actions and the events over the last five years, I’m beginning to believe that prediction may have been 100% accurate! George Bush is destroying America piece by piece, brick by brick; he is in the process of fulfilling his ultimate dream of becoming a dictator! Ironically, in his delusional fantasy state, he believes it’s all happening for the greater good!

If I were Scooter Libby, I’d be more than a little worried right now, and not about going to jail for the charges brought against me! No, I’d be worried about those who know what I know that don’t want the rest of the world to find out! Now that there’s been an indictment and there’s a real person to blame, they sure as hell don’t want anything messy like a trial, where all the secrets could come out! Hmm, imagine this scenario, we have a criminal, a criminal act, a fiercely loyal aide, a totally irrational deed, a body of secrets, and access to every clandestine operation known to mankind! It’s beginning to sound like a dimestore spy novel, the only thing left is an ending, you know, the one where the bad guy commits suicide because it’s his only way out of this dilemma, but the kicker is he was actually murdered by some super secret clandestine group who report only to----! Will it be that truth, in the end, is really stranger than fiction?

It’s amazing how those on the radical right of a particular political persuasion always use the “everybody’s doing it” excuse in defense of the crimes they are committing. A priest caught with his hands in the till, a Congressman caught on illicit golfing trips, a national party aiding and abetting money laundering! Yep, it really does seem that everybody’s doing it---every pious self-righteous do as I say, not as I do, Repuglican kind of guy!!!
