Did the White House get to walk after all?  Was Scooter Libby offered up as a sacrificial lamb in order to appease both sides, at least for the time being?  Why did Patrick Fitzgerald make a “pit-stop” at the office of James Sharp, George Bush’s private lawyer, on the day Libby was indicted?  Was pardoning only one (Libby) a consideration that will amount to just a ripple in the political waters at a later date?

Allowing anyone their choice of judiciary opens a can of worms that will make a mockery of the law and precipitate chaos and confusion nation wide! If United States Representative Tom DeLay, having been charged with a felony, can have a Judge thrown out based on political bias, then I believe every criminal charged should have the same right to throw out a presiding Judge because of bias. Think of the appeals this could open up---hmm, the judge in my case had previously ruled in favor of the death penalty, so this in effect establishes his bias, and that’s enough to throw him out so a new judge can hear my case!!!  In fact, this really opens the door to picking which Supreme Court Judges should hear and rule on whatever case anyone wants to bring before the United States of America!  I can hear it now, this Supreme Court Judge was appointed by a Democrat and that fact establishes his/her bias, it will be enough to have them thrown off the panel hearing the case!  The best example though, of how corrupt Judges can really be, was front and center on public display by semi-retired Judge C.W. “Bud” Duncan---it just goes to show how the Repuglican culture of corruption down in Texas has taken over!

To all those who believe the war in Iraq was justified, George Bush lied to go to war in Iraq, he manipulated sources and resources to wage war, and our children are paying for it with their lives.  Are we as a nation really ready to extend that war?  In May 2005 over 1600 American soldiers dead in Iraq---just 5 months later, more than 2024 American soldiers dead in Iraq!  And now the Bush administration is beating war drums to extend the fight into Syria!  Whatever happened to diplomacy, negotiation, and a more peaceful means of resolution?  Where has sanity gone?  What have we become?

Watching Under-investigation-for-insider-trading Bill Frist with his panties in a knot lament about integrity would be satisfying, if the subject had not been so very profound.  The Democrats took a stand that has been long overdue in this country. WAS INTELLIGENCE MANIPULATED IN ORDER TO GO TO WAR?  The people of America deserve the truth, after all it’s our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters fighting and dying in this war!  We need to know if the Bush administration intentionally mislead the American people!  P.S. The only “stunt” I saw yesterday was the grandstanding Frist press conference regarding the maneuver so skillfully enacted by the Democrats!

Whether it’s “I forgot,” or “I had a lapse in memory,” it all boils down to more lies to cover up the myriad of lies they’ve told already!  “Lies beget lies, and once you start you cannot stop”!  The “I can’t remember what lie I told to cover the lie I’m telling” sounds like a good defense for most Repuglicans, but Mr. Libby, in case you haven’t noticed, your pants are on fire!

I reiterate, all those in this administration suspected of involvement in the treasonous act of outing a covert CIA agent and undermining the safety and security of the United States, should be classified as “detainees” and sent to that “island resort” more commonly known as “Gitmo.”  We have been assured they would “have everything they could possibly want.”  There is a marvelous opportunity awaiting those wanting to diet and lose weight in these times of rampant obesity here in the U.S.  All other perks aside, in this tropical paradise they won’t have to worry about pesky reporters and/or anyone from the U.N. asking them questions, as Donald Rumsfeld won’t allow “detainees” to be questioned! After all there are limits to “freedom of information”!

“BLITZER: If the Democrats launch a filibuster, that means you need 60 votes to break a filibuster, would you, as a Republican, support the so-called nuclear option, changing the rules and forcing the abandonment of the use of the filibuster, so that 51 votes would be needed to confirm Samuel Alito? HATCH: Well, I call it the constitutional option…So, yes, I would support a -- the constitutional option that would make both parties have to quit filibustering judges.”  I knew way back when you can’t trust the word of a Repuglican Senator---theirs was a scam to get the Democrats to vote for highly partisan judges, and now that the most partisans, in the most significant positions to change our lives forever are in place the Repugs will revive the “nuclear” option to make sure Alito is confirmed.  At this point they don’t really care if they damage the Senate forever, because with Black Box Voting, they see themselves as the ruling party with the most votes to do whatever they please forever!

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah---Harry Reid and the Democrats have finally found their “cajones”!  It’s about time they call the Repuglicans out, it’s about time they decide to defend America, it’s about time the people get the truth!

I have long since believed Zell Miller was suffering from senile dementia and after reading his latest op-ed, I am convinced he has a real problem that medicine will most certainly be unable to cure!  One just has to wonder exactly what does he gain from his overwhelming, fanatical worship of the Bush administration?  What could be the motive for such a ridiculous misguided display of adoration?  To say he’s made a mockery of himself would be an understatement.  Back when I mistakenly thought him to be a representative Democrat and a governor of note, I heard a long-time state employee say, “Don’t ever think, not even for a minute, that Zell is for the people, he thinks he is a king and he’ll be surprised to find out he’s only the governor of Georgia.  Zell Miller is out for himself and himself only, and he’ll do anything to get his mug in the news.”  This latest bit of idiocy penned by Miller is just another “anything to get his mug in the news”!
