I often wonder where they come up with stuff like "the trickle down effect"?  Wasn't the last "recession" downsized to an "economic slowdown" due to "consumer confidence"?  I would call that a trickle UP effect.  "Trickle down" for politicians in Washington equals campaign donations and that’s all trickle down means these days.  Sooner or later someone, somewhere is going to realize, rich people grab the tax cuts and send our jobs overseas, while the poor and middle-class are the ones who spend our money on such mundane things as food, clothing, education, and health care, and that is what drives this economy up. Sooner or later, cutting funds from programs that aid and protect the majority of the American people in order to give money to the rich will never benefit anyone, not even the rich!

After reading the Jeff Greenfield (of CNN fame) analysis of the NYT article on the "Judy Miller" story, one has to wonder if CNN has really become "the news you can trust"!   Greenfield asks the inane question, "Was there a concerted effort to discredit Plame’s husband Joe Wilson…?"  Well, duh, where exactly have you been this last 2 years Greenfield?  "Was there a concerted effort," it certainly wasn’t an invitation to dinner. Then, via Greenfield, "And if there was, was it a defensible political tactic aimed at an untrustworthy critic, or a retaliation that crossed the line into an illegal and dangerous outing of a covert intelligence agent?" Again, duh, now that the whole world knows Ms. Plame was, and I stress was, a covert agent, just what the hell do you think?  There is nothing defensible when the president and his administration orchestrate a concerted effort to discredit an envoy and thus compromise National Security, and your attempt to categorize Joe Wilson as "untrustworthy" is reprehensible, you Jeff Greenfield, should be ashamed of yourself for this not so subtle attempt to further defame Mr. Joe Wilson!

All this mumbo-jumbo, "What did Bush know and when did he know it," is just that---MUMBO-JUMBO designed to confuse, conflate and confabulate.  The ultimate goal here is to make it seem as though Bush was all three of those monkeys, "see no, hear no, and speak no e-v-i-l"!!!  But you know what, this whole "Plame Game" affair is just too signature George Bush not to believe he was in it all the way up to the box on his back and the bug in his ear!!!

The most telling of all the info coming out regarding the "Plame Game"--- "'Karl is fighting for his life,' the official added, 'but anything he did was done to help George W. Bush.' ... Bush has always known that Rove often talks with reporters anonymously and he generally approved of such contacts … But the President felt Rove and other members of the White House damage-control team did a clumsy job in their campaign to discredit Plame's husband, Joseph Wilson ..."!  Not that they did it,  Nooo,  just that they did a "clumsy job" of it!  All I can say here is, "It doesn’t help to lie, because lies beget lies and once started can never be stopped!" THIS IS JUST ANOTHER CLUMSY JOB OF DAMAGE CONTROL BROUGHT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BY THE WHITE HOUSE DAMAGE-CONTROL TEAM in a lame attempt to save their boy Bush!!!

* * *

In an effort to save the boy Bush ... Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and their cohorts have been selected to take the fall for all the Bush mistakes!  But America better sit up and take notice because Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Colin Powel, also had this to say: "The detainee abuse at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere was 'a concrete example' of the decision-making problem with the president … in effect giving the green light to soldiers to abuse detainees. 'You don’t have this kind of pervasive attitude out there unless you’ve condoned it.'  Condoleezza Rice … now secretary of state, was 'part of the problem' … she would side with the president to build her intimacy with the president. … former president George H.W. Bush … understood how to make foreign policy work.  In contrast his son was 'not versed in international relations and not too much interested in them either.'" No one has to wonder any longer how America got into this mess, it’s as plain as the nose on your face, and his name is George W. Bush!!!

In reference to a question about a "mug-shot" of Tom DeLay, CNN’s Bill SCHNEIDER had this to say: "It will probably show up in newspapers. This is clearly an effort to embarrass Mr. DeLay."  Err, excuse me Bill Schneider, Tom DeLay had something to do with this embarrassment---what about violating the law?  Could that have anything to do with DeLay’s embarrassment, or are you, Schneider, still about the business of protecting the Repuglican Party at every opportunity?

"... the white house has already been developing countermeasures—notably including senior white house officials privately voicing president bush’s disappointment in karl rove’s involvement in the case, calling it 'misconduct.'  An urgent search for a rove replacement is already underway."  The questions become: How in the world do you replace Bush’s brain?  How can Bush possibly get away with all this stuff for the next 3 years?  Who is really devious enough to step up and take the job?  Finally, do they really think they’ve fooled all the American people, do they really think we don’t know Bush has been in on this up to his eyeballs?  And is this all part of some grand design to position John McCain for a 2008 run for the presidency, is this what they promised him in exchange for supporting George W. Bush???

Are resignations enough for those families who’ve lost their loved ones in this concocted unnecessary preemptive war?  Is it enough for our soldiers who gave their lives for this bunch of liars that they resign?  They should all be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law---including the head moron, who seems to think he can slide out of this whole mess.  Innocent people are dead, our troops are dead, our country has been defamed, it will take more than resignations for justice to be served.  No wonder George Bush wanted #2 cheerleader on the Supreme Court---for protection just in case the American people wise up and demand accountability for his horrific scam!
