Barbara's Daily BuzzFlash Minute A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons. October 13, 2005 George Bush, in his latest attempt to scare the bejeezzus out of all of America, had this to say about Osama bin Laden, "And what this man who grew up in wealth and privilege considers good for poor Muslims is that they become killers and suicide bombers. He assures them that his -- that this is the road to paradise -- though he never offers to go along for the ride." ERRRR, excuse me George, but what exactly were your "humble" beginnings in this life, who exactly are you sending off to fight a pre-emptive unnecessary war for your revenge and greed, and when was the last time you put on boots, fatigues, and grabbed up an M-16 rifle in Iraq? It seems to me, George, when you said, "our new enemy teaches that innocent individuals can be sacrificed to serve a political vision," most Americans thought of you more than they did bin Laden! Is there really any difference here between "sacrificed to serve a political vision" and "died for a noble cause" when war is waged and innocent people die? * * * All I can say about Frist is that should teach him for bucking Bush! This is the kind of thing that happens when you go up against a sociopath. George Bush will even eat his own if they dare to go against him! I might add, it couldn't have happened to a more corrupt guy -- unless of course one was spelling corruption K-E-N-L-A-Y! * * * In these times of low poll numbers and public embarrassment, it's no wonder George Bush would turn to one of the two (Condi being the other) who make up his mutual admiration society. It's just too bad that in the end, it only goes to show how idiotic some adult women can be when they're in LOVE with a married sociopath! * * * It seems that there are some in mainstream corporate media who have finally gleaned about George Bush what the rest of us, and the world for that matter, have known since day one! And it leads me to wonder why? Bush's incompetence and inabilities have been more than obvious to anyone willing to even half-way observe, so why is there all of a sudden a burst of insight on the part of those who were heretofore over zealous cheerleaders? And that interview with Matt Lauer was more than revealing, since we know questions of the prezz are always given in advance of such an important photo-op and George, as well as Laura, seemed a whole lot less than prepared! What's really going on behind closed doors, behind the scenes, and in back of the props? |
