Barbara's Daily BuzzFlash Minute A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons. September 14, 2005 * * * If the nursing home owners can be charged with 34 counts of negligent homicide, the question becomes exactly what should George Bush be charged with? Given that Bush declared a “state of emergency” and told Governor Blanco help was on the way, and the “help” didn’t arrive, ultimately what is his culpability? * * * Barb no longer has to worry “about body bags and deaths,” because George has made sure “it’s not relevant”! Mother won’t have to “waste my beautiful mind on something like that” at all. FEMA has awarded the contract for recovering the dead to, “a scandal-ridden Texas based company operated by a friend of the Bush family” that has a past history of “dumping remains in woods frequented by wild hogs” as previously “discovered by investigators in 2001…In one case, a backhoe was used to crack open a vault, remove corpses and make room for more dead bodies”. Yessirree bobtail, now Barb only has to fret about how it’s “sort of scary” thinking about all the evacuees who may want to stay in Houston rather than return to New Orleans! * * * One way to begin censorship is to put a monetary value on the truth! Hmm, The New York Times claims that the move to charge a fee for internet access to op-ed columnists is “an important step in the development of The New York Times.” Sounds more like an attempt to limit access for people who are interested in the liberal opinion. These days the liberal opinion is the closest Americans can come to the truth in reporting. The headline should read, the truth is going to cost you! * * * Face it, America is going to have to come to terms with the fact that Bush ignored the August 6th PDB in hopes of having the catastrophic catalyzing new “Pearl Harbor” event as stated in the PNAC’s report, PDF file page 51, “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” in order to launch the beginning of an attempt to dominate the world. The “blame game” stops on the desk of George W. Bush, and at the doorstep of those who aided and abetted “fixing the facts” to go to war in Iraq. George Bush and all those in his administration as well as the neo-conservatives who envisioned this horror, all bear the responsibility for the deaths of countless thousands of innocent people both here in America and abroad. * * * Bush is a post, wooden that is, and because of that, Cheney and Rumsfeld have been “credited” with running the country. Now, we hear Cheney’s health is even worse than we thought, Rumsfeld has run rampant, and there’s a rift developing between the wooden postus, the weakened veep, and the senile Rummy. We hear a rumor that Cheney has been asked to “reemerge” to do what he can in an effort to save the GOP! I could care less about the Repuglican party, I could care less about the grim reapers of corruption, war profiteering, and cronyism, I could care less about those who put the interests of big business over the needs of the people, how in God’s name can anyone support those who have neglected the needs of the American people? * * * As evidenced by the most recent polls, when mainstream corporate media decides to reveal the truth to Americans, the public gets it! George Bush has been incompetent since birth. His has never been a life devoted to anyone other than himself. And now, because he’s afraid of losing his powerful position, and perhaps facing charges of negligent culpability due to the deaths of innocent American people, resulting from his lack of an immediate response to Hurricane Katrina, he’s out there faking an image of “hard work” in an effort to skinny out of being AWOL yet again. The deaths of thousands of innocent people can be attributed to this nincompoop, who out of arrogance once said, “I can do this,” because he is actually too dumb to even know he can’t! * * * With his wife in the background adoringly looking on, John Roberts invoked the 5th Amendment, without stating he was doing so, while successfully avoiding pertinent questions, several times in yesterday’s testimony during the Senate Confirmation Hearings. Each and every Senator had another opportunity to grandstand their opinion, but I must say Senator Tom Coburn MD (R-OK) gave an Oscar winning performance for the biggest ham in the Senate. Prior to wrapping himself in the flag and giving a laugh-out-loud performance, he was caught doing a crossword puzzle under his desk. Perhaps his tears were tears of boredom rather than tears over partisanship; in any event the tears were “crocodile.” * * * |
