Barbara's Daily BuzzFlash Minute A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons. August 30, 2005 "GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: I want the people to know in the affected areas that the federal government and the state government, their local governments, will work side by side to do all we can to help get your lives back in order." Front and center, he's out there offering up words to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, offering everything words can describe. But, I have to wonder, is he out there because he doesn't want the people to realize the National Guard and all their equipment are in Iraq fighting foreign terrorists? Does he think words will be enough to replace the hands-on efforts of the National Guard to help the victims of disasters at home? The devastation will be greater due to the fact there aren't enough people to handle the after effects -- which is something this administration never plans for! * * * Is Bush's "noble cause" the development of an Islamic State? Yep, George Bush has managed to bring theocratic rule to the pivotal Middle-Eastern state of Iraq! There is nothing noble about the fact that more than 1850+ American soldiers have died in order to accomplish Osama bin Laden's wildest dreams! There is nothing noble about Bush brokering bin Laden's move from mountains and caves to palaces and cities. Delusions of "nobility" are seemingly a major aspect of Bush's personality! When a moron is in charge, what can you expect? * * * So Bush has had a "tough summer"? He's had a myriad of problems to handle during his 5-week vacation? Awwww, now, do you really feel sorry for the moron? Not me. The problems he's "dealing" with are of his own making. Besides, his behind has been relaxing for the past 5 years. If the truth ever comes to the fore, he's been relaxing since the day he was born. Unfortunately, the "problems" resulting from his incompetence are forcing American soldiers to spend their vacations fighting in Iraq! |
