There is no shame in this administration. While they won’t allow you to view the caskets of our dead soldiers upon returning home, they will allow you to read the propaganda slogans -- designed to promote public support -- on the headstones of those dead soldiers as you walk through Arlington National Cemetery! While some of the tombstones have been engraved without the consent of parents or loved ones, the slogans are there anyway. "The owner of the company that has been making gravestones for Arlington...for nearly two decades is uncomfortable, too. 'It just seems a little brazen that that's put on stones,' said Jeff Martell, owner of Granite Industries of Vermont. 'It seems like it might be connected to politics'." Well DUH, this is the Bush administration.

"Bush said...and now we will complete the mission." What? And I thought it was "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED." Foolish me, that's what I get for listening to George Bush. Does he ever get anything right? First he said, "a war on terrorism," then he said "Al Qaeda was in Iraq," then it was, "we must get rid of the terrorists," then it was "Weapons of Mass Destruction," then he said "Weapons programs," then it became "spreading freedom and democracy," somewhere along the line it all became a "noble cause," and now it's become, "we must continue the fight, we must continue to send our children to die, because so many have died already." When a moron is put in charge, what, other than disaster, can you expect?

My grandmother used to say, "Be very careful, because a man will promise you anything to get into your pants." Somehow, that just seems to fit into the current debate going on regarding John Roberts nomination to the Supreme Court! Ask all the questions you want, play the game to the hilt, in the end it really won’t make a difference, because John Roberts is conservative, and conservatives have been waiting for a long time to overturn Roe v Wade. John Roberts will promise whatever it takes to be confirmed, anything you want, but we all know exactly how he'll rule once he's sitting on the bench: he'll do whatever it takes to overturn a woman's right to chose and he'll do everything he can to make abortion illegal in America again.
