I can sum up mainstream media's previews of George Bush's State of the Union address---it's just another hour of bull shit, fed to the American public like pablum to a baby!  George Bush and this Repuglican administration believe all the American people are as dumb as those who think George is the second coming of Christ, and will support his inane policies as though they were the lost books of the bible.

Howard Dean certainly won't back down in a fight, he won't waiver, he won't concede, and he can certainly out-debate anything the Repuglican party throws at him! The Democratic public is looking for a voice that speaks for true moral values and respects the Constitutional values as set forth by the founding fathers---you know, someone who can eat pretzels and watch TV at the same time! Howard Dean could be the man who can accomplish it all!

Do you suppose the Democrats traded Alberto for Condi??  Do you think in their confusion they decided Gonzales was the greater of two evils, and in order to get rid of him and not appear to be obstructionists, they opted to vote for George's arm candy as a good compromise? Two wrongs don't make a right, just as two liars don't good policy make!  Condoleezza and Alberto are nothing more than suck-ups to the thief who brought them down, from what once seemed to be lofty ideals, into a sleazy administration.  Too bad for them and too bad for America.

“Bush: ...In my inaugural address, I renewed this nation's commitment to expanding liberty at home and promoting liberty abroad.... I set out the long-term goal of ending tyranny in our world. My inaugural address reflected the policies of the past four years that said -- that we're implementing in Afghanistan and Iraq. And it talked about a way forward.” And in six months, after another pre-emptive “shock and awe,” he will proudly stand before you and say, I told you exactly what I would do in my inaugural address! We will not have a peaceful world as long as George Bush is calling the shots!

As I was watching the results of the “election” in Iraq Sunday on the tube, I was struck by deja vu---something in the pictures flashed on the tube was vaguely familiar, couldn't quite place my finger on why, until I realized, while they were talking about the election in Iraq, they were showing pictures I had seen the day before of expatriates voting right here in America! The exuberance, the happiness, the elation was coming from those at the polling stations in the U.S., not from Iraq. Strange how supposedly objective mainstream media also knows how to “frame” the Repuglican side of the debate in favor of George Bush!

George and the gang would like to take credit for a successful Iraqi election. Because the people bravely went out to vote---I just have to wonder, if in fact, the Iraqi people knew that an election could spell the end of occupation!  Now, for those of you who support this inane pre-emptive war, it may behoove you to realize, people vote either to elect someone they admire, or to get rid of someone they don't want hanging around who will further their personal plight. Given the destruction George has managed in Iraq, I would give it dollars to doughnuts, the Iraqis were voting to get rid of George!

After reading how detainees are being “handled” at Guantanamo, there is no question as to why America is hated throughout the world. I hardly think it's because of our freedoms or our liberty, unless they interpret the freedom that allows an all female squad to take some liberties in how they treat Muslim prisoners. Obviously, it isn't appreciated by other religious cultures.

A comment to Mr. LaHaye regarding his comments on Larry King Live! KING: "Why, Reverend LaHaye, haven't evangelicals been more outspoken about the environment?"  T. LAHAYE: "Because we believe that the environment was made for us. And not us for the environment. There's a big cultural chasm in our country today. For example we have people who get out of shape if a whale is beached and they want to blame the U.S. Navy and sonar investigation and so on and yet they don't mind 45 billion babies being murdered in the name of abortion in the last few years." So why don't you mind the fact that thousands of babies have been killed in Iraq because of Bush's pre-emptive war???
