Wouldn't it be wonderful if everything was red, white, and blue patriotic, if the end was happy, and the heroes sauntered away into the sunset vindicated?  Unfortunately, reality confronts fantasy and it seems in today's military, the heroes are shipped off to military mental institutions.  This is what happens when a "bully moron" is calling the shots and covering up all his "skeletons." As we've been told again and again, Abu Ghraib was but the tip of an ugly iceberg that begins with those at the highest levels of our government.

If ever you needed proof positive that Bush and his administration intended to wage a non-traditional, pre-emptive war without rules in Iraq, the refusal of the United States to submit to the scrutiny of the International Criminal Court should be it!  They knew what they were going to do, and they preemptively did everything possible to cover their asses!  If ever we want to regain our integrity and our dignity as a country, we must hold this leadership and those who have aided and abetted accountable. In the end if we don't, then we must bear the responsibility for their actions.

If anyone who claims an ounce of intelligence caught any part of Donald Rumsfeld's Q&A with the troops yesterday and still thinks the Repuglican party, George Bush and his administration are the best we can get to take care of our Military, then I'm here to tell you, YOU'RE A FOOL!  Repuglicans better take a long look at what Bush is doing to their reputations--after this whole fiasco called Iraq, they will never again be able to say they are the better party when the security of the United States is at stake!

Something is perilously wrong when the President and his Cabinet members are telling you we are providing the troops with the equipment they need to fight a war, and the troops are telling us they are scavenging the junk yard for materials to armor their humvees.  Really supporting the troops is more than waving a flag, it means putting people who know what they are doing in government positions.  Our troops need a leader who can do more than dress for the occasion, we need anyone but Bush, Cheney, and/or Rumsfeld!

This whole "Basketbrawl" mess is just a reflection of the trickle down syndrome!  Granted it doesn't reach the same level, but it still reflects the same attitudes.  Don't follow the rules, have no respect for the innocent bystanders, and if you don't like the outcome just annihilate them!  Kinda reminds one of the pre-emptive war in Iraq, a laissez-faire attitude for the innocent Iraqis, not properly equipping the troops, and ultimately "shock and awe"!
