Barbara's Daily BuzzFlash Minute A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons. December 6, 2004 The next time you bite into that juicy tomato, remember, it could be a Weapon of Mass Destruction! Thanks to George Bush and all the "hard work" he's been doing, our food supply is at grave risk, according to Tommy Thompson. And if it wasn't before, it certainly is now that Mr. Thompson has shown them where we are most vulnerable. Not only do we have eternal war to look forward to, we can also be afraid to do what America does best--EAT! * * * Rumsfeld is insurance---in case they get caught with blood on their hands, who better to blame in the Bush administration, than the Donald, Rumsfeld that is? Can't think of anyone more responsible than Bush for all the screw ups than Rumsfeld. So in keeping with the Bush family tradition, Rumsfeld is to remain on the payroll, just in case they need someone to face the charges that will come down the pike when and if Americans realize that it ain't all sunshine in Washington, D.C. Besides, George can always issue a pardon before he leaves office! * * * While Bob Novak would like to think himself a "syndicated opinion columnist, a bastion of legitimate journalism," we know he's nothing more than today's Heda Hopper, reveling in gossip and innuendo from "sources" that remain unnamed when the country is vulnerable to terrorism. * * * Just heard an excerpt on the boob tube---George
Bush condemning drug use in the sports arena. Anytime
he criticizes someone for using drugs it's an example of "the
pot calling the kettle black"! I guess it was OOOOKAY, back
when he sowed his wild oats, because he is a Bush and anything
goes for the Bushies! And what about that rising star
in the Repuglican party,
Auunald, who has admitted using steroids?
* * * If you thought America could never go down the Nazi path, better think again. History is repeating itself because the lesson obviously wasn't learned the first time around for some. National publications are censoring columnists who wish to opine in a manner that doesn't agree with Herr Fuehrer Bush. In the end we will become known as Bush's Fourth Reich. * * * If the military is calling up former personnel who served and left before their time was up, then they should start at the very top. They seem to have overlooked the very one who could get them the most PR---George W. Bush. I vaguely remember he opted out of the National Guard early, so it seems only fitting and fair that HE should be included in that recall. When your country needs you, you should be ready to serve, no matter the circumstance, that's what all the other former American military personnel are being told! * * * |
