The Repuglican's would do well to give Zell Miller all those leftover "purple heart band-aides," cause he's gonna need em'! What he thought was the coup of the century turned out to be a bomb that could well destroy him -- not because he's politically viable, but because his ego and his need to be recognized has sealed his legacy---Zell Miller, Georgia's Benedict Arnold, a Marine who can no longer be trusted by his country!

As I live and breathe, Auunuld described his peers better than any Democrat ever could. I never thought of it before, but these chickenhawk, draft dodging, very rich guys, could not have had a better description, yesiree bobtail -- they are all a bunch of "economic girlie men," more concerned with their bank accounts than their country! I can see it now in Webster's unabridged -- Repuglican males: economic girlie men, afraid to fight in war because their "other priorities" are robbing the poor to give to the rich!

The Repuglican's like to claim their tax-cuts are good for the economy. However, when they are in office and cut taxes, the economy heads south, joblessness increases and American's must tighten their belts! Along comes the Democrats, they increase taxes on those who can afford it and, voila, economic recovery! Now, the Repugs would like you to think it's a natural occurrence of what they did right, but folks, I'm here to tell you, this country has always done better all around, for rich and poor alike, under a Democratic leadership.

When are people going to wake up? The "leaders" in the Repuglican party firmly believe in that old saying, "do as I tell you to do, not as I do." This can be evidenced by Henry Hyde (an extra marital affair), Bob Livingston (extra marital affairs), Newt Gingrich (extra marital affairs leading to divorce and remarriage), Ralph Reed (doing business with gambling for big bucks), Dick Cheney (doing business with terrorist states), and this list could go on and on. The message is clear: these guys want to tell you how to live your life, but they want to do whatever they please to gratify whatever desire they feel.

Repuglicans seem to think they can lie and slander whomever they please, they are the tabloid party of politics and they seem to think the more outlandish the charge the more it will be believed. I believe fully in "Free Speech," but I also believe that the First Amendment does not give an individual the right to lie in order to scandalize another human being. The not-so-swiftboatvets have not been granted the right to say whatever they please about another man's valor in order to bring him down. Dennis Hastert and Newt Gingrich cannot invoke the First Amendment to imply that a law abiding citizen is involved in drug trafficking. It's time to send the message the lies will not be tolerated.

Those purple heart band-aids are another example of how really patriotic the Repuglican party is, and just how stupid the members are, they haven't a clue, that what they think is cute, actually mocks every Veteran ever awarded a Purple Heart for injury during combat while in the service of America! So much for compassion, so much for caring about the troops, this is one of the most disgusting stunts ever committed. Get out the vote and get rid of this juvenile bunch of blockheads, our future depends on it!

"Bernard Kerik recalled Bush's famous visit to New York, 'inspiring a nation as he stood on hallowed ground,'" and now he's standing on that same hallowed ground having one big party and using the memory of the victims, of the most horrific attack ever endured within the United States, to inflate his political desire. It takes unmitigated gall to pull a stunt like this!

John McCain may have thought he was defeating John Kerry in giving his "I'm for Bush" speech at the Repuglican convention, but in fact he defeated no one but himself. There is something to be said for party loyalty, but quite another to put politics over country, and pandering over self-respect. It was a disgusting display in which John McCain lost all the honor and dignity he had previously earned!

Psychologically it sounds as though there are more than a few not-so-swiftboatvets who continue to be in denial over Vietnam. It was a needless war, without merit, creating an atmosphere for some young men to commit atrocities they cannot admit even to themselves. Vietnam represented what happens when political leaders send young men to fight in senseless wars, putting them in harm's way for no reason, under these circumstances it becomes an effort in survival of the fittest. John Kerry had the courage to stand up and fight for his fellow soldiers in a successful attempt to bring them home, the swiftboatvets should be about the business of saying "Thank You" to John Kerry, instead of denying reality and looking for valor in dishonoring fellow veterans!

* * *

Only the dimwitted Repuglicans would have a big screen representation with phallic implication! I wonder what twisted mind came up with the big elephant raising and lowering his trunk! It looked like the GOP mascot could use a dose of Bob Dole's Viagra, the poor elephant could not keep his trunk up! Another subliminal attempt to razzle-dazzle by the limp wimp Repuglicans!

* * *

I've heard a lot about getting rid of the 527 ads from the Repuglicans including Poppy Bush these days. They seem to have a problem though in analyzing and distinguishing the difference between an honest representation of a candidate's record and the lies told by one party (the Repugs) about the other. They also seem to forget about the 80 million dollars the Bush campaign spent trashing John Kerry's record this last year. No 527s there, just a single Repuglican campaign's effort to denigrate their opponent. Sorry Poppy, your boy is not as appealing to us as he is to you, but then you've always been about the business of covering his ass so why would anyone expect tough love and the truth from you or any of your suck ups now???

Laura Bush's support for the not-so-swiftboatvets is a prime example of a lack of intelligence coming from those on the right side of insanity. It seems that Laura thinks it OK to trash Kerry's reputation on the basis that "there have been millions of terrible ads against my husband"! It sounds exactly like their inane justification for the loss of innocent life in the war on terrorism, "better to fight the terrorist over there than here at home" crap! Destroying a man's reputation with lies and innuendo is not acceptable, the deaths of innocent people, no matter where it happens, is intolerable! It's just some more crappy rhetoric lacking the benefit of critical thinking!

* * *

If today's action is any indication of things to come -- Veterans returning from Iraq, the injuries you endured and service for your country will be mocked by those who have never ever suffered the horrors of war. If at some time in the future you want to try to make your country a better place for your children by contemplating political service, remember, your injuries and service will only be a source of ridicule by your Repuglican opponents. There is no honor, no dignity, no compassion in those who arrogantly mock the sacrifice of America's military men and women.

* * *

It would take someone drunk on booze, stoned on grass, or mindless from snorting blow to mock a decorated veteran's Purple Heart Medals. Oh, I seem to forget, these are George Bush's constituents, they are just emulating their AWOL slacker, working on another losing Repuglican campaign, while someone else fights another senseless war and earns those Purple Hearts this bunch of right wing compassionless whackos choose to belittle.

Elizabeth Dole has just said to the nation on CNN, "Bob Dole is a veteran who has certainly earned the right to voice his opinion." I would add John Kerry is also a veteran who has earned the right to his opinion. The difference here is John Kerry is an honorable man who will not trash the reputation of another veteran by lying about his reputation and his service to his country! In other words Bob Dole is a prostitute pimping for favor after he's grown to old to participate.

BREAKING NEWS: Now that Ted Turner has left and taken all credibility with him, CNN needs some new terminology for its acronym. "Conservative News Network" seems to fit the drivel they've been preaching lately, or perhaps "Cheerleading Nutty Numbskulls" -- that would best describe those who read the teleprompters relaying their opinions to the public. Either one would certainly be more accurate than Liberal Media.

CARLSON: Now, in the last set of debates, what do we remember? Not much. Gore sighed. And he lost. Or he didn't really lose, but he didn't win the election -- enough to actually win the election.

(LAUGHTER)

I know, Florida. But we're not allowed to talk about it.

SHIELDS: Yes.

CNN CAPITAL GANG
Special Edition: Live From Madison Square Gardens
(Aired August 28, 2004)

Out of the horse's mouth -- On CNN's "Capital Gang," Margaret Carlson let the cat out of the bag. Apparently the big wigs at CNN have muzzled the analysts! Do you really think we're getting the news, HA, all we're hearing is what the corporate media want us to hear, we're getting a bunch of bull dished up and served on a biased plate. Liberal Media, my ass!

If you really want to know how much the Bush administration cares about our troops, take a long look at the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. First the order, "to do whatever it takes" is filtered down through a web of messengers, then, because these young inexperienced, under-trained soldiers followed orders emulating the attitudes of their superiors, they are prosecuted, while those who are really responsible walk away Scott free claiming "no knowledge." It goes along with "Mushroom clouds," "Coalition of the willing," "Iraq and al Qaeda were connected," "We didn't know Iraq didn't have Weapons of Mass Destruction," "We miscalculated the aftermath." This George Bush was born with a silver lie in his mouth and hasn't stopped lying since!
