John Kerry's speech was magnificent! His supporters are impeccable and undeniable. A man with the STATURE of John Kerry will most certainly win the most important election of our lifetime! There is no comparison between the intellect of Kerry and the "misunderestimated" Bush, between courage and "gettin' outta harm's way," between truth and "we didn't know there were no WMD's," between answering every question and performing the occasional "scripted news conferences," and between articulating a message and mumbling a destruction of the English language. I could go on, but you get the drift -- there is no comparison between John Kerry and George Bush. John Kerry is the only real man for the Presidency of the United States of America!

All the hoopla, all the fanfare, all the money, and all the hope will be to no avail, if the Repuglicans are allowed to fudge the election again! If we cannot go to the poles and vote for our choice for President of the United States expecting a legal vote count, then we are not the Democracy that is so often proclaimed. If the likes of Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris are again allowed to pull the same high jinks in Florida, if Repuglicans in other states mimic Jeb's actions, or the Supreme Court of the United States appoints another President, then America has become nothing more than the dictatorship wanted by George Bush. We must insist on a system that counts our votes accurately, that cannot be hacked, and one we can depend on!

Well, it wasn't Bin Laden, but I guess any terrorist capture will do! The news wasn't as sensational as the White House had hoped. It seems that people are more interested in how the Democrats are going to retake the White House so that, in the future, we'll safely know our government is doing everything possible to protect America. Had the Bushies finished the job they started in Afghanistan, instead of rushing off to Iraq, then maybe terrorism would have suffered a major blow. Instead, Bush's actions only increased the size and popularity of terrorist groups!

Quite frankly, had I been Mrs. Kerry, I would have borrowed Dick Cheney's line and told McNickle to go F--k himself, followed by a variety of other 4 letter words which would have burned the hairs in his ears and injured his sensitivities! I'm fed up with the right wing radicals getting away with anything they want to do to us and then suggest that those of us on the left should remember our manners!

While George Bush is telling us how good the economy is, average Americans are looking at the incredible shrinking pay check! I'm not sure whose economy is getting better, but my budget is losing some categories -- a Saturday afternoon movie or a Sunday drive -- because the rent, local taxes, health care costs, groceries, and energy costs have sky rocketed. It just proves the old saying, "under a Repuglican regime the rich keep getting richer and the poor end up in soup lines"!

I don't know if anyone has noticed. When they tell us the highest rate of tax relief has been given to the richest 2% of the American people, there remains 98% of us ready to regain our government and our American way of life. If the Repuglicans persist in allowing a lunatic to run this country into the ground, in the next election they will find themselves politically buried along with him.

It occurred to me this A.M. that not only are the middle and poor class in America having to supply the troops to fight Bush's unnecessary war, we are also having to pay for funding that war! We are paying to have our kids killed in a preemptive war, simply because George Bush wanted to "get Saddam." He lied to us so we could pay to watch our children die in his war. The rich do not send their children to war and the rich get a huge tax cut so they won't have to bear the burden of the cost of his war. Hmm, thanks to George Bush, there are two Americas after all -- one for the rich, and one for the rest of us!

Actually, I'd like to see a little more oomph in revealing the truth about the Bush administration. It's one thing to play nice, and quite another to let this spoiled brat bully get away with his selfish antics again! It's not frogs he's torturing and killing today, it's innocent people and American soldiers who are dying in an unnecessary war! We don't want to be an extension of Poppy and Barb and we don't want to enable George to continue his reign of terror on America and the world. It's time to tell it like it is. It's time for Americans to wake up to the facts, not the flowers and songs he's pedaling this time. Bush creates nothing but chaos and confusion, death and destruction and it's time for it to come to an end!

Barack Obama gives us hope for the future of America. With men like him in politics, we can be assured the tone in Washington will be changed for the better! This is a man who puts his country first, who cares about the human condition, and who intends to do something about it. Our country can and will be respected when more men and women of his caliber are elected to positions of power. "Our pride is based on a very simple premise, summed up in a declaration made over two hundred years ago," he said, "'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.'" His speech gave us insight into his character and integrity and lets us know there is hope for us all!

Talk about a beautiful mind: enter Teresa Heinz Kerry! Here we have a woman who says it like it is, and does not take guff from anyone! After watching CNN's presentation of a fair and balanced interview with Colin McNickle, I for one can understand why she told him to "shove it"! Frankly, his attempt to play the "victim" fell flat and showed him to be a hypocrite.

If Bill Clinton says it, it's good enough for me: "SEND JOHN KERRY!" Clinton's speech at the convention reminds us just how lucky Americans were during his eight years as President. His intellect and commanding presence show us exactly what we lost when the Supreme Court appointed the moron!

Another bike ride, another spill. It seems that this president bumbles and stumbles everything he undertakes!

Just who the hell do they think they're kidding? First Bush says, "America is safer," then his administration tells us "another attack is most certainly going to happen." Now, tell me how much sense that makes!? We are not safer and Bush has done nothing to protect America. In fact, because he preemptively marched into Iraq, he provided Osama with all the ammunition needed to grow Al Qaeda stronger and more determined. Anyone who believes Bush is capable of anything more than eating soft pretzels has the same IQ as he does. And frankly, their loyalties will end up being our demise!

Started the first night of the Democratic Convention watching CNN, but soon realized they were only using the time to get Blitzer interviewing the opposition! Quickly tuned to CSPAN and found the rest of the night a rousing tribute to Democratic values. Al Gore was at his best, Jimmy Carter did us proud, Hillary Clinton said it like it is and, of course, Bill Clinton made us all realize why the Democratic party is a party of the people, by the people and for the people!

From an article in Reuters: "After receiving the report in Washington, Bush gave a homeland security speech to a friendly audience." Someone needs to tell the world that Bush speaks only to invited audiences. Here in America, if you disagree with this president's policies anywhere he appears publicly, you get arrested! That's the new American Democracy under the Bush administration!

Is America safer? We are being told that an attack surpassing the horror of 9-11 is probable. Is Israel safer? They've had to build a concrete buttress enclosing their territory. Is the world safer? People are dying in more terrorist attacks than previously recorded (e.g., the terrorist attack in Spain), innocent civilians are being beheaded, and the world is on alert. Because George Bush keeps making statements unconnected with facts -- "Today because America has acted, and because America has led, the forces of terror and tyranny have suffered defeat after defeat, and America and the world are safer." -- it is fairly obvious he still doesn't read the papers.

Every time I hear George Bush give a speech, it gives me pause to wonder, "How in God's name did this man get to be the president of the United States of America?" He stumbles, mumbles, and distorts the written word, he makes mincemeat out of the simplest of phrases, and half the time he can't hear exactly what is being whispered in his ear. More importantly, he has no idea of the substance of the words he's uttering. It's too bad the founding fathers didn't anticipate that five Supreme Court Judges, appointed by a single party, would be so indebted to that party that they would install an idiot into the highest office of this land.
