The BIG question becomes, "Did George Bush have the right to send this country into a pre-emptive war because he thought another sovereign nation was a threat?" In any man's court, the answer would be a resounding NO! I can see the future: "I shot and killed my neighbor, not because I didn't like the way he mowed his lawn, but because I thought he was going to attack me because he really didn't like the way I weeded my garden!" Yep, as silly as it sounds, it's no more ridiculous than Bush's war on Iraq!

What journalists don't understand, when they rationalize "Bush misspeak," is that it isn't a matter of pronunciation, it's just plain stupidity. No amount of covering up his mistaken enunciation will change the fact that the man lacks the intelligence to be in the office he stole from the American people. When mainstream media finally understands they've been supporting a moron, then and only then will they be able to reclaim an iota of professionalism.

The shear numbers of people who came to support the March for Women's Lives should tell America that mainstream media's polls can be skewed to obtain a desired outcome and are not reflective of grassroots opinion. More and more people in this country are saying we've had enough of George Bush and his gang. We want someone with the ability to lead this great country. We want to return to a time when America deserved respect. Fear and loathing is not commendable and we are sick and tired of the Bullies occupying the White House. We want to return to a time of Democracy at it's best. Vote for John Kerry!

Wouldn't it be great for the American people if Howard Stern and Larry Flint could form a coalition in search of First Amendment Rights? Now, that would be a formidable opponent for the Bushies to overcome. If the Dems want a helping hand, then this would be the place to go. HOWARD AND LARRY WE NEED YOU! Give back to your country some of what your country has given to you, and you guys could save democracy.

One can only hope that Ted Turner's speech at the March for Women's Lives was noticed by America! The Ted must be overwhelmingly disappointed every time he turns on the tube and sees what the current bunch running CNN has done to the once-outstanding 24 hour news channel. The giggling, inane commentary coming from so-called journalists has turned Ted's stellar creation into a tabloid FOX copycat. It's disgusting that the public no longer gets the truth in news from our television airwaves.

Why anyone would think that a man who challenged his father to "...go mano a mano" could be diplomatic is beyond me. This man has used bullying tactics all his life. He only retreats when he thinks his behind is in danger. He is without a doubt the last person in the world to believe in diplomacy, especially when he can command the American military to fight his battles for him. It's our sons and daughters he's sending -- for Bush's personal profit and revenge -- to fight his battles.

"I think after September 11, the American people are valuing life more and realizing that we need policies to value the dignity and worth of every life,'' said Karen Hughes. Uhhh, Ms. Hughes, how would you explain the thousands of innocent Iraqi lives and over 700 American soldiers killed in Bush's war? Your logic is far surpassed by your ignorance! Go back to Texas and take your bull s--t with you!

If the rumors are true, and Colin Powell is offered a new job as head of the World Bank, he would certainly be doing himself a favor. His reputation has been severely compromised thanks to George. Time to cut your losses and run, Mr. Powell, before public disappointment turns to outrage, because you were a loyal soldier for George Bush's folly.

So now the Iraqi people must take responsibility for their futures! Mainstream media and the Bush administration have the audacity to admonish the Iraqi people for not taking up arms against the insurgents. These people learned how to stay alive in a country ruled by, as defined by American leaders, the worst tyrant in history, and now they are expected to rise up and overcome insurgency? Come on people, the Iraqi people did not invite us to liberate them, they did not invite "shock and awe," they did not ask for the chaos and confusion that exists in Iraq. When Iraqis with guns are being killed on a daily basis, why would you think anyone would want to take up arms, even in self-defense? Iraqis should say, "George Bush, you wanted it, you did it, you are responsible for the terrorists running rampant in our country, and now you clean it up."

America deserves the very best in leadership! We are a hard working people who believe in Democracy. We strive to make our children's future better than our own. We value peace and prosperity for all people, we value the earth and our environment, we believe in giving a helping hand where needed, in personal privacy, and in equal rights for every human being. We wish for our way of life to be emulated, not imposed. We believe in freedom of speech and opinion, and we honor the truth. We do not tolerate bullies, bigotry, lies, and mindless death and destruction. So, why then is George W. Bush still perched in the Oval Office? Impeach the thief and all those he brought with him and send them back to the hidey holes from which they came.

George Bush can't even pronounce the word decency, much less knows the meaning. All one has to do is remember Karla Faye Tucker and Bush's response to the question, "What do you think Karla Faye would say to you right now, the night before her execution, if she could." Bush's callous response was a whining "Pleassse don't kill me." No, this jerk is not decent and as shown by his action that he has no intention of being decent. We can only hope November 2004 is the beginning of the end for him, because the world cannot survive with morons like Bush literally calling the shots.

With statements like "...President Bush has worked to say, 'let's be reasonable, let's work to value life...," Karen Hughes shows the world she's a lot further than 10 minutes away from normal. In fact, she's out there in la la land somewhere with herr Bush. It's too bad she wasn't commenting on a proposed change in the Bush Iraq policy! Given the fact that thousands, including innocent women and children, have died in Iraq as a result of an unnecessary war, we all know Bush is neither reasonable, nor does he value life.

April 26, 2004

Oh, for the days when "stained blue dresses" hogged the headlines! For once, I think those days of yore far better than what we are experiencing today. The headlines today are war, war, and more war, death, coffins, bombs, grenades, and faltering truce. How very sad it is that "hero" is now defined by the death of a young life snuffed out before it's time in a far away place. How sad it is for us as a people we find that definition acceptable. Our so called "leaders" should be finding a more appropriate solution to modern dilemmas.

The common sense rule that no one, no where, no way, appreciates a bully and that everyone, everywhere, in any way possible will resist the impositions posed by bullies is the underlying premise of what's happening in Iraq! Now, America can win in Iraq by using overwhelming military prowess, but in the end what will we have? There will be a lot of innocent people dead, a pile of rubble that once represented a country, and billions of seething Middle Eastern people who really do hate us! How can anyone call this victory? How can one justify as a sensible conclusion the death and destruction of innocent people in order to bring democracy? Only a moron would believe "shock and awe" equates to "brave, bold, leadership"! Only a moron would conclude the end justifies the means, especially when you see where the end is taking us!

Bob Novak is the kind of "so called journalist" who gives the rest of the profession a bad name. One rotten apple in the barrel taints all the rest. Novak's role of Dark Prince has overtaken his persona, and he seems to believe all's fair in war! He should be compelled to testify before a grand jury regarding his intentional outing of Valerie Plame and reveal his source, or he should be convicted of "outing a CIA covert agent." Who knows how many lives he's endangered? Who knows how much damage he's done to America? He either committed the crime all by himself or he's a lap dog for someone in the White House! Somehow, saying I didn't commit a crime because someone told me to do it and I can't tell you who that someone is, isn't a good excuse! What he did, was of no benefit to this country at all!
