FAQ

A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). We'll collect a week's worth here and then archive them. Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons.

Again the Repuglican Party proves they have no integrity whatsoever! There is a history of spying (need I say Nixon or Will?) on the Democrats and using the information to disparage or gain an advantage. Shocked or outraged, I think not, just missed their calling -- B-rate actors practicing a different brand of prostitution on the national stage. They are an awful example for the children of America. But, it's the Repugs, so what else can you expect?

* * *

I have finally figured out the differences -- the Radical Right Wing Repuglican so-called conservatives would like to believe that they live in a "Leave it to Beaver" world. The rest of us live in the real world. Again, for the Repugs, it's all wrapped up in appearances, not reality. Bill Clinton crossed the bridge to the 21st Century, while George Bush retreated and burned that bridge and is returning us to the 19th Century!

The vast right wing conspiracy in this country doesn't want competition! They will do everything they can to stifle Liberal news, they will do anything to shut down the Liberal voice. MoveOn.org is a valuable addition to truth in reporting -- do not allow the right wing to shut down the truth! Support those willing to go out on a limb for us! Support the truth and to hell with "fair and balanced" or "the news you can trust"!

Maybe, just maybe, the Hubble is being scrapped because some folks perched in high places don't want an eye in the sky that might reveal their clandestine activity! Does "Star Wars" come to mind? No checks, no balances, just wide open space and lots and lots of tax-payer dollars!

The strength of our country is in it's people, not in a self-appointed bunch of

lunatics who believe in war for profit! Anyone who thinks otherwise is attempting to overthrow Democracy and undermine freedom. It's time for the era of "the end justifies the means" to come to an end. It's time to return to a future envisioned by the Founding Fathers of America. It's time for the people to regain their Freedom! It's time for all Americans to have an opportunity to speak freely and protest that which they find intolerable. It's time to return to a Democratic government that believes in empowering the people, all the people. I too am a Liberal and proud of it!

If the 2004 election is to be an honest representation of Democracy, we need more people like Rep. Wexler to insure that our votes are counted. The Bush administration and mainstream media are doing their best to convince us that George Bush cannot be beaten, which is a crock, unless, of course, the voting machines have been pre-programmed to guarantee a skewed result. No one I know, Democrat or Repuglican, wants four more years of Bush's house of thieves.

* * *

If you really want to know why Bush and crowd aren't worried about the upcoming election and we hear how amused they are about the Democratic primaries -- the answer can be found here. If voting machines are skewed, then they already have the election in their pockets. The CEO of Diebold has told us that he intends to do everything he can to see that Bush wins. Without a paper trail, without exit polls (thanks to mainstream media), we can only rely on what we're told about who won. Just think about it. They won't need the SCOTUS this time around, the machines have taken over. Beware the Repuglican HAL.

Bush had the gall to lay a wreath at Martin Luther King's grave and follow with the appointment of Charles Pickering, a man with a dismal civil rights record, to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. If someone tries to tell me that Bush has integrity, I'll respond that he's a vindictive tight-ass without morals or dignity.

* * *

The Soviets lost 15,000 troops (the youth of the Soviet Union) before withdrawing from Afghanistan. America has reached 500 soldiers killed in Iraq -- and that's just soldiers killed by hostile-fire. How many troops will we lose before Americans say enough? Because of George Bush's ineptitude the casualty list grows on a daily basis. Bush lied and our soldiers died.

To all those who thought Richard Perle an intellectual, HE'S NOT! His ideas and concepts are born of fantasy or better known as grandiosity. I believe his ideology is based on power and personal profit, and his methods inane, especially when he doesn't consider that the consequences of his actions are death and destruction. The sad thing for America is we are the ones who suffer his folly.

* * *

When they stoop to reporting, ad nauseum, what the Democratic candidates are wearing in mid-winter on the campaign trail, mainstream media has obviously confused their priorities. A man's wardrobe (i.e. sweaters) is of no consequence compared to the lies Bush told during his never-ending war!
