FAQ

A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). We'll collect a week's worth here and then archive them. Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons.

Yeah, George Bush has done a lot for Democracy in Iraq -- just ask the women in Iraq. Who exactly has been liberated? It sounds more like the moron has opened "Pandora's Box" and unleashed hell. Wiser men than those calling the shots in Washington today knew the consequences of waging war in Iraq. Wiser men knew it would take an entire United Nations to even begin to solve the problems that have developed in "post-war" Iraq. But , of course, we are talking about Dumbya and the gang -- you know, the ones who don't have a plan beyond "shock and awe"!

There really is a vast right wing conspiracy -- just like Hillary told us! The Repuglicans have formed a rigid discipline and do not go off message. They employ psychology in order to pull the wool over the eyes of America, tell us how we should live and scam us into believing the lies. They will use whatever methods necessary to create a rich man's Utopia and a poor man's hell.

I'm just wondering if the new proposal to go to the moon and then to Mars is the Bush administration's back door, cover up, scam 'em while we can, method of getting Reagan's "Star Wars" program going? Once these "weapons" are in place, could someone -- someone who wishes they were a dictator -- threaten US? Watching the current liars tap dance around the truth over the war in Iraq, it leaves me wondering what, exactly, is the motive behind this new proposal.

Just wondering if a party can "divorce" a member! If this is possible, then someone puhleezze start proceedings against the biggest embarrassment to ever call himself a Democrat, Zell Miller! The Democratic Leadership would do well to simply get rid of Zell. It won't affect the balance of power in the Senate and it sure would do a world of good for public relations! Zell is nothing more than a modern day version of Judas Iscariot! Frankly, I'm sick of hearing his story about "this ole house"! It's an old house that should have been CONDEMNED long ago!

Has anyone else noticed -- every time there is a negative revelation about Bush, CNN comes up with a "poll" telling us all how Bush's approval ratings are high? These people really want George Bush to continue his reign -- their mission is to keep him in office. His stupidity is reflected in those who support him, and one has to wonder why? Just consider, would it be possible to pull a puppets strings if the puppet had a brain?

Hooray for our side! While I have been entirely dependent on the Internet and BuzzFlash for the Truth in News, I look forward to of all things Radio! Once thought to be the exclusive world of Conservative right wing nuts, I am happy to say we are now being offered a most welcome alternative, Progressive Media. It can't come soon enough. Thank you Al Franken!

After watching what this administration is willing to do to truth tellers (i.e., Joe Wilson and Paul O'Neill), I wonder if the latest Air Passenger color code will be used for security against terrorists or for intimidation? Will those who have been willing to tell the truth regarding the current administration be barred from the "friendly skies"? Will protestors carrying signs in a protest zone find themselves on "the list"? Will those willing to speak out against the current policies of this administration find that hitch-hiking will be their only alternative for travel? What are the determining factors for a red-flagged tag and what can be done about it? Hmmm, I wonder.

How can Americans allow this administration to vilify those who are most concerned for our well-being? Joe Wilson was maligned and his wife exposed as a CIA covert agent for speaking the truth about the lies told to justify an unnecessary war -- a war that has killed over 500 American soldiers and untold thousands of innocent Iraqis. Now, Paul O'Neill has exposed the inner workings of an administration that cares only about tax-cuts for the rich and the moron's personal vendetta to "get" Saddam, and we all sit by and watch Mr. O'Neill's demise. Because of the administration's need to hold on to its political power, the intentional chaos and confusion seems to force our priorities upside down.

We are witnesses, front and center, to the politics of intimidation. The Bush administration is furious, to put it mildly, with Paul O'Neill's truth telling and has unleashed the Treasury Department on O'Neill. And you thought the moron was a nice guy! HA!!! Bush is known for his penchant for revenge and he doesn't care how it's accomplished, even if it requires the sacrifice of nearly 500 of our sons and daughters so that George could "get" Saddam in an unnecessary war in Iraq!

If you think only terrorists have to worry about being labeled "detainees" and being held for questioning, think again. Innocent people are caught up in this web of color coded terror alerts, all designed to make the moron look good! Real people with families, having no terrorist ties other than matching a name on a list, are caught up in these helter skelter policies. Knowingly delivering people for questioning to countries that use torture for interrogation is the same as performing the act of torture. There is no compassion in those who would commit such atrocities. There is no justice when the rule of law is blatantly thrown to the winds. And you ask, "why do they hate us?"

Is mainstream media finally realizing that "co-operation" with the Bush administration doesn't get them anything more than grief? Have they finally realized that the contemptible men who sit perched in the White House have nothing more than contempt for the press? This country will be far better served when and if mainstream media decide that doing their jobs requires informing the American people by telling the truth, something far more important than a demeaning "nickname" from a moron!

* * *

WOW, now he wants to put a man on Mars! I really think that if he truly wants to do something for America, the man that he sends to Mars should be George W. Bush himself! Just think, he could sit atop a missile and slide into Mars with great fanfare. There would be no need for souped up security for this "mission accomplished." Then he could proclaim supremacy, and realize his dream of being the first dictator on the planet! He would also be fulfilling the expectations of his "invitation only" constituency by bodily ascending into the heavens!

* * *

Somehow paying taxes wasn't so bad when one had enough money to pay them. Thanks to George Bush, there aren't jobs to earn wages in order to pay taxes. He is turning this country into a third world, banana boat, poverty stricken disaster. Boy are those rich guys going to be disappointed when they find out all those dollars they've scarfed away aren't worth the printed paper! Wonder what the Boy Wondering is going to do when those rich white guys say no to his failed policies? When the economy goes bust even mainstream media won't be able to convince us things are looking up.
