And
you thought we lived in a Democracy! It seems that other countries
in this world are more in-tune to their people than the leadership
in America -- Turkey will not be sending troops to Iraq because the
Turkish people don't
want them to go; England is extensively investigating the bogus reasons
for going to war in Iraq; and people all over the world are opposing
the Iraqi occupation. Contrary to what we're hearing here at home,
their
is no coalition of the willing. What exists, in fact, is a coalition
of the bribed, paid, coerced, and threatened. Wake up America, the
leadership in this country is taking us down a lonely road to hell.

The
pigs are flying and democracy is waning in America. Those freedoms
we have taken for granted are systematically being subverted
by the moron and his loyalist following. We are becoming just another
third
world country with a tyrannical dictator and fixed elections.
I
cannot believe the Repugs are winning with sweeping victories. There
has
to be a little help from somewhere, touch screen voting machines
perchance? Is all this pre-2004 scrimmage just to be sure another
bill of goods
can be sold to the American people? I cannot believe the American
people cannot see through what's happening to Democracy.

First
it was one or two a day coming home in body bags, now it's
four to sixteen. I don't
call this success. I don't see us winning. Something is wrong
with what we're being told and what is actually happening. How many
more lies from the mouths of morons must we hear before we say
no more?
How much do our troops have to endure before we wake up to
reality? How many more of our troops must die before Americans say
enough
already? *

So
Zell Miller would like the world to think he speaks for the new south,
that he identifies with southerners. Well, I'm here to tell you he
doesn't. One thing a true southerner does not like is a turncoat. Real
southerners expect a man to live up to his word. Zell used the Democrats
here in Georgia to get a free ride to Washington, then abandoned all
of us who voted for him. He abandoned his electorate to suck up to
the powerful thieves and liars up there in DC. He may think himself
a southern gentleman, but in truth he's nothing more than a back-stabbing
caricature of one of those good ole boys driving a truck flying the
confederate flag.

In
response and with agreement to a letter in the BuzzFlash
MailBag, entitled "News Anchors and Democrat Trashing" (In reference
to the
paragraph on "right to work" laws in the south):
I was born and raised in the South, and am familiar with
what happens under these laws. As a teenager I worked at McCrory's
Dime Store
for the grand total of 30 cents an hour, which was below
minimum wage,
because they claimed no interstate commerce. Upon graduation
from Nursing
School, I went to work in a local hospital, where, as an
RN, I made $3.00 an hour in conditions, for both employees
and patients, that were
deplorable. We worked hard and, once a law was passed
in 1975 that allowed public service employees to unite
for collective bargaining, risked losing our jobs
to have union representation by the Florida Nurses Association.
It
wasn't the money and poor salaries
that motivated
us, it was to improve the quality of care for our patients.
We wanted more than one nurse in a four-bed ICU unit that
was always full with the most acute patients. We wanted
a full time
nurse in the ER so floor nurses wouldn't have to leave their patients
to cover emergencies. We wanted enough help to cover all
areas of the hospital during a code
blue -- where every
minute counted in a life and death situation -- and enough equipment
(combination cardiac monitor and defibrillator) so we did not have
to remove
it from an ICU patient to run it down the hall for the code
blue patient. These are but a few of the
improvements we wanted and couldn't
get down here in the South, because we failed
to win collective bargaining rights in a place where the
good ole boys controlled the purse strings and refused
to provide
what
the patients
really needed. These are the kinds of things the general
public never
hears, the kinds of things a union helps to improve, and
the kinds of things that will never be improved
with good ole boys like Bush in powerful positions. *

If
you didn't think Mainstream media was working hand in hand, with
that foot in mouth Bush, think again -- what other
moron could get away with answering a legitimate question from the
press corps by saying, "That's a trick question and I'm not
going to answer it"? Real reporters who truly care about America
would have been all over him like stink on a pile in the barnyard.
Real reporters would have let the American people know in a heartbeat
how crooked this bunch of thieves conduct business. But then, this
group of so-called journalists seem to think they are employed by
the Office of Disinformation. They will even correct the gaffs he
makes in order to present a more intelligent picture to the public.
The American people are not benefiting, we are being led to the slaughterhouse
like a herd of sheep.

The
Bush administration will never turn over any records that will
reveal the truth to the American people. Why do you think they've
frozen the Reagan and Bush#1 records? They've even sealed the
Clinton papers on the outside chance those records could reveal
anything
about Poppy. They don't want the public to know the ins and
outs of how they conduct business. Given the ability of this administration
to alter and/or expunge the truth (i.e. "Mission Accomplished", "err
the Navy did it, not me"), some poor slob, probably on the
taxpayers' dime, is diligently going through all those records
and taking care of business for the Bush family. *

"It's
the STUPID president, stupid!" That's the main reason
voters will go to the polls in November 2004 -- to get rid
of the
nut
case who sits in the Oval Office. He's the moron who invaded
Iraq
without a plan, causing the deaths of our sons
and daughters and innocent people, the destruction
of Iraq, the trashing of our thriving
economy, and the conversion of surpluses to deficits. You
know the guy -- the one who can't eat pretzels and watch
TV, who
doesn't read
a newspaper,
who needs Flash cards to conduct a press conference or give
a speech, and who banishes protests to a "zone." It's
the "leave
a whole bunch of kids behind" fellow. Come on people,
I swear, if he had a brain, he'd sit in a Nebraska
cave
and play with it. Vote to reclaim America and NO TO BUSH.

Yadda,
yadda, yadda as usual from the ditto heads at CNN! They don't
seem to be viewing the same programming they're
airing. If you listened to Paula Zahn, Candy Crowley, and the rest
of the gang at CNN about the "Rock the Vote Debate" last
evening you'd swear they weren't analyzing the same debate that was
aired.
They find themselves at a loss because any one of the 9 Democratic
candidates could beat George Bush hands down. The Spin was coming
fast and furiously from CNN representatives and not from the Dems.
While the debate was interesting, informative, and occasionally humorous,
the post debate was as boring and yawningly predictable as we've
come to expect from the CNN group of Bush worshippers.

It's
too bad that when lightening struck and Bush was converted, the
Almighty didn't stress to the moron how terrible it is to kill
innocent people. It's too bad his conversion didn't include some
of the basic tenets of religion. If the Ten Commandments were to
be displayed anywhere, it should be somewhere that Laura could
read them to him. Then, maybe, the world would be a safer place.

To
those illustrious members of Congress who believed Bush when
he told them a war in Iraq was necessary -- the first time someone
tells you a lie and you believe it, shame on him, the second
time,
SHAME ON YOU! Now that we all know he's a liar, to believe
anything else the moron tells you is your problem and unfortunately,
it is also ours. All of America is suffering the Bush lies,
because
you, the members of Congress, continue to blindly follow a
lying leader. When are you going to do the job you were elected
to
do and represent the interests of the American people? When are
you
going to say enough is enough? *

There
is something wrong with a man who promotes a war that his
family and friends profit from. There is something wrong when
that
same man, George W. Bush, tells us it is imperative that we
continue to fight a war where our children are dying, while he
is sitting
comfortably in a safe and secure environment. The man doesn't
even have the decency to personally recognize and honor the
sacrifices made by our troops and their families because he is
to busy campaigning
for money to win an election so he can continue to wage
more war. That alone should tell the American people something
about his character and definite lack of compassion.

The
Repuglican stance that speaking out against a preemptive
war is "aiding and abetting" the enemy,
is just plain bullshit! To say
we don't support the troops and we aren't patriotic is a campaign
of reverse psychology designed to gloss
over the mistakes they've made by sending our young men and women
to die in a needless war. My God, our troops are fighting a war
based on lies and propaganda and dying in a country that,
up until now, had been contained. Beyond "shock and awe," there
is no plan for peace, no plan for withdrawal, and certainly
no real plan for democracy. I'd say it's just plain
common sense to question a war where terrorists have become
stronger and Americans see more and more body bags
arriving daily. *

In
their zeal to convince Americans of success in Iraq, the Bushies
have only succeeded in personifying their failures here at home.
Out and about, all over the tube, we're hearing about schools opening,
hospitals caring for the injured and ill, jobs created, and a country
looking forward to free and fair elections in Iraq. Here at home,
schools are closing, we can't afford hospital care, jobs are lost,
and five judges on the Supreme Court selected the most important
job we go to the polls to elect. Isn't there something wrong with
this
picture?

As
long as a RECALL is a methodology for getting rid of politicians
who supposedly aren't doing their job, how about a RECALL
for those who misrepresented themselves to the electorate by claiming
to
be a Democrat while, in truth, being a closet Repuglican?
With a nose as long as the Repuglican elephant, Zell Miller
claims
to
represent
southern Democrats in Georgia. After listening to his rhetoric
on Meet the Press, I have come to the conclusion that he's
just another good ole boy politician who will say and do anything
to get elected,
then say and do anything to further his personal agenda. The
man has no shame. It's past time to RECALL ZELL!

"As
a company, we don't tolerate hacking of our website, or the circulation
of stolen material on the Internet," said Diebold spokesman
Michael Jacobsen. I would say to Diebold, "As
citizens of the United States of America, we don't tolerate hacking of
our votes, or stealing elections via bogus programming of your machines!" His
comments sound like a bunch of bank robbers who said to the police, "You
can't look at the plans we used to rob the bank or give them to the
prosecuting attorneys." Our lives are bordering on the ridiculous, ever
since this bunch of right wing whackos decided to hijack our country. |
