Goodbye
to Leon Harris at CNN! One of the few reputable reporter's left
at CNN since the Time Warner merger. Leon Harris is the epitome
of integrity, and he reports events with candor and honesty. We
will miss him and the truth he brought to all Americans.

IMMINENT
THREAT? Hmmm, 6 months of intense investigation costing millions
of dollars and now a request for more money and more
time -- it doesn't add up to imminent for me! Where's all that
bravado and
arrogance
now?
Our soldiers died, thousands of innocent people died, a country
is in turmoil, a region is in chaos, terrorism is gaining ground,
and it's all thanks to the insanity of a man drunk on power
and greed.

It's
a damn shame! The man who calls himself president continues
to dupe those poor American people, many of whom are as
dumb as he is, in
order to fuel his fantasies. Weapons of Mass Destruction
have morphed into a mythical fantasy of programs, imminent
threats have become regime change, while democracy has become occupation
for years to come. People are dying on a daily basis,
yet
we're
told progress is being made. Billions of dollars are
being funneled into companies with questionable associations and
we the American
tax payers are indeed paying the price of the lunacy
of
Bush and his administration.

The
Big Fat Liar has been stuffed on his own petard -- hooray and it's
about time! His mean, nasty, hateful rhetoric has finally come
home to roost. Rush Limbaugh has resigned from ESPN and it couldn't
have happened sooner. In fact, he should resign from the public
eye and fade into oblivion, because his kind of bias is no longer welcome.

No
matter how they spin it, no matter how much they try to smear
Joe Wilson, it does not and will not cover up the fact that two
top
administration officials, presumably of the Repuglican persuasion,
broke the law, a very serious law at that! The attempts to
scandalize Mr. Wilson makes the entire Repuglican party look guilty.
Wasn't
it
the Repuglicans who said the cover-up is worse than the crime?
Don't you think they would be wise to heed their own advice?

Hmmm, "those
who aid terrorists, and those who harbor terrorists are terrorists!" The
same could be said for those who aid "leakers" and
those who harbor "leakers" are leakers, especially
when national security is involved. Bob Novak would be wise
to heed the advice of his president and turn over any knowledge
he has as to who leaked this info, before everyone comes
to the
conclusion that indeed he compromised the lives of CIA agents
and our national security.

Bob
Novak bears some responsibility for printing the name of Valerie
Plame after being asked not to by the CIA. If indeed he has been
in the "business" for 46 years, then he certainly had
to have known what he was doing was wrong, and he did it anyway.
He knew what damage he was doing and he knew what the implications
of exposing Ms. Plame would be. If he didn't, he certainly wouldn't
be skipping around spinning the truth today. His was just another
Repuglican attempt to smear an adversary, squelch the truth
and scare the bejeezus out of anyone who would dare to come forward
and expose the lies of an administration gone wild.

The
current situation regarding who leaked a story about Valerie
Plame will show this country exactly how much George Bush
is his own man and if he really makes the decisions. Will he
allow a thorough investigation resulting in an arrest of the "felon"?
We all know, as has been widely publicized, nothing leaves
this
White House without the approval of Karl Rove. They've
prided
themselves in telling us Karl runs a tight ship, which should
also tell us who, how, and why this info was "leaked." Does
Bush really make the decisions, will they allow an arrest,
and can Bush afford to lose his brain?

Most
Americans would like to believe the actions of Bush and Co. are
based on a just, though possibly misguided, ideology. The sane
mind finds it impossible to consider anything else, because it's
too terrifying to realize our future is in the hands of whackos!
The first clue revealing this administration's capabilities should
have been evident in the less than compassionate and callous remarks
Dumbya made regarding Karla Faye Tucker before she was executed.
When asked what he thought Ms. Tucker might say to him if given
the
opportunity, he replied in falsetto voice, "Pleeease don't
kill me"! Mocking a woman facing execution, no matter her
crime, should have told us just how diabolical he can be! It was
a window into his mind.

I
have come to believe the Repuglican Party, their representatives,
their pundits, and their talking heads -- the Limbaughs,
Coulters, O'Reillys, Hannitys, Mays, Novaks, you know them all
-- deserve
a new
name: PETE AND REPEAT. When you've heard one, you've heard
them all. Their
message is the same, over and over, pass the barf
bag ad nauseum. Sooner or later
America will wake up and find themselves in the whacko world
of Repuglican psychological talking points,
where nothing of value is presented.

Did
Dubya learn his lessons from Poppy? Has he gathered Poppy's "team" around
him because of their ability, or perhaps because they can be controlled?
Did Poppy's years at the CIA provide him the ammo, via "files," to
extract loyalty via intimidation? Seems to me that if there are "skeletons
in the closets" of any or all of this "administration," Poppy would be the one to know.

I
agree that a whole lot of people in this administration need
to be fired, but in my opinion it should start at the top. The
nincompoop who calls himself president, made himself look foolish
-- not the CIA or FBI or anyone else for that matter -- he's
the one who
made all those ridiculous statements: "Wanted Dead or Alive," "We're
on a crusade," "Bring 'em on," and "I hit the
trifecta." Bush
should accept the consequences of his arrogance. He should accept
the responsibility for his lies to wage war, and he would do us
all a favor to take the Nixon road to resignation. It would be
the patriotic
thing to do. |
