A collection
of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of
the
day (with the exception of the weekend). We'll collect a week's worth
here and then archive them. Come visit each weekday to see what's
pushing
Barbara's buttons.

To
the CIA, NSA, FBI, and any other
spook
agency that may be classified:
Better wise up -- the blame game
is beginning and, believe me, the
guys at the top are not going to
take the fall. Guess who is going
to be caught with their pants down
because they chose to play the
game fairly --YOU! And all the
lemmings who follow behind the
right wing whacko insane blowhards
will believe it when they're told
it's the intelligence agencies.
Then, one by one, some of your
heads will roll. It's time for
some of
you guys and gals with the backbone
to do it, to stand up and be counted.
Put the blame where it truly belongs
and let the impeachments fall where
they should!

A
psychologically glaring reason
for the Bush approval ratings
-- most people have difficulty
admitting
they are wrong! It's easier
to say they approve of him than
to admit he did a piss poor job
with
their support. A word of caution
to this administration --
sooner
or later these people will
realize they've been used and abused
and that American military men
and
women
and innocent Iraqi children
and
adults died because of a war
fought on lies. When this sleeping
giant awakens, you guys will
be
run out of Washington wearing
tar and feathers!

Yes,
Zell Miller has been duped
-- that's what happens when
one forgets
one is a Democrat and fraternizes
with the opposition. The
Bushies will use you, abuse you,
chew
you up and spit you out,
which is a lesson to be learned
by all
those who
believed Bush would compromise.
Haven't any of the guys
and girls in the Congress learned
from
Bush's favorite phrase
-- "You're
either with us or you're
against us". He means
it.

While
stupid statements can be attributed
to the likes of Dumbya, not so
with Mr. Wolfowitz. It leads one
to wonder the motive for his recent
statement to delegates at an Asian
Security Summit in Singapore over
the weekend, "---economically,
we just had no choice in Iraq.
That country swims on a sea of
oil." Is he purposefully
trying to provoke animosity around
the
world? Does he want to instigate
retaliation? Is he hoping for another
terrorist attack on US soil? Somehow
this blatant admission of greed
does not fit his profile, unless
of course he has more sinister
motives.

Everyday,
I hear someone proclaim, "Thank
God for the Internet," and
I feel a kinship with them.
If
not for the internet and
web sites such as BuzzFlash
that
deliver the truth, we would
be dependent
on news garnered from biased
mainstream media news networks,
right wing radio talk shows,
and clearly conservative
newspapers. There would be
no diversity,
no objectivity, no truth.
Americans would be subject
to whatever
disinformation the politicos
want to feed us. We must
do everything we can to maintain
our freedoms,
we must demand our rights
to
Free Speech, and we must
stand up and be the Americans
envisioned
by our forefathers.

It's
really scary when you realize that
Bush and his thugs need a war
to stay relevant. The domestic
policies
of this bogus administration would
most certainly be enough to doom
them forever, but because the Repugs
and mainstream media have been
able to perpetuate the myth that
safety and security are synonymous
with Repuglican, war and terror
have become our way of life. Sooner,
I hope, rather than later,
Americans
will wake up. Looking over one's
shoulder and being scared skinny
by eternal vigilance is not the
way
we want
to live our lives. Our forefathers
came to this country in order to
establish freedom from fear and
a better life for all -- that was
the objective. We cannot allow
a group
of men
and women who bottom feed on power
and greed to lead our nation into
oblivion.

The
Barbara Bushes of the world
are what I call "sweet women." You
know the kind, always socially
conscious,
polite and sweet to your face,
but will stick a knife in your
back and twist it gleefully!
These are the kind who take ugly
to a
new level -- vicious back biters
who make nice while screwing
you over.

As
CNN delights in Hillary-bashing
to boost their ratings,
little do they know they are energizing
the liberal base. They
apparently
don't realize a majority
of Americans are fed up with
the mean-spirited
pettiness spewing from
the mouths of their anchors. While
the right
wing whackos find such
sleazy
reporting sufficient for
their
IQs, liberals are finding
this form of Tabloid news
distasteful and worthless. Summer
reruns
have become more interesting
than 24 hours of senseless
drivel.

Hooray
again for Al Franken! Finally someone
who will stand up for American
values. "We aren't going to
take it anymore," said Franken, "we
will expose the lies." Thank
you, thank you, thank you. I will
buy his book for myself and my
friends, I will support his efforts
and I will cheer him on. Democrats
in Congress would do well to emulate
Mr. Franken. It's time Americans
realize the Bushies have sold us
a bill of goods tied up in lies,
cheating, and stealing. It's time
for the people of America to stand
up and speak out -- remember IT'S
YOUR COUNTRY!

The
blame game -- twasn't me, it
must have been them. We are witnessing
the inevitable result of
lies, lies, and more lies.
Thanks to the
Bush administration, instead
of doing the job they are supposed
to do, the CIA, the
FBI, and the NSA are now having
to cover their
asses -- shades of
Nixon, Iran-Contra and all
the other spook games played by
the
Repuglican party.
Gone are the days when lying
about
sex was an impeachable offense.
We've returned to a time when
lies
have deadly consequences for
Americans on a grand scale and
no one, nary
a soul in the Congress of the
United States, will sound the
alarm. Where's
Joe Lieberman and his moralistic
speeches when you need him?
* * *
The
governments of nations
who feign agreement with Bush do
so because
they know it will increase
their incoming cash flow!
Bush is buying
approval with your money and all
the noodle
heads in America are telling
you what a good job he's
doing. Good work if you can get
it,
because he's paying the messengers
as well. The suffering will
be felt by those who are the
meekest
among us -- those who have
no voice because they have no
money -- and
their numbers are growing rapidly.

If
you thought the Bush administration cared about American military personnel,
you should have a look at the DOD's Jessica Lynch tale from the Twilight
Zone. Pvt. Lynch not only sustained horrendous physical injuries due
to an unnecessary war, she was then used and abused for propaganda purposes.
Adding insult to injury, her parents were told they were "not supposed
to talk about it"! There was nothing compassionate or conservative
about this bill of goods sold to the American public.
*

If,
in fact, the Bush administration has ONLY America's interest at heart,
then why is James Baker's law firm representing Saudi Defense Minister
Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz in a law suit brought by the families
of the victims of 9-11? Is it really in the
best
interest of America
and Americans to have a lawyer who serves as Counsel for Intelligence
Policy to the Justice Department's Office for Intelligence Policy
and Review also representing the foreigner being sued? Could this be
construed
as a conflict of interest, or at the very least, not at all compassionately
conservative?

Three
cheers and then some for Al Franken! The Democrats would score an A+
if they would show some of that same courage. We need people who aren't
afraid to speak up and speak out about the lies of the right wing politicos
-- the American people are entitled to the truth. It's time to stop
the whackos in their tracks. It's time to expose these people for what
they
are: power hungry, money grubbing, slime buckets who will do and say
anything for personal gain. Thank you Al Franken, and keep up the good
work, we appreciate all you do!

Everything
I read lately tells of no spare parts for the war machinery in Iraq!
For God's sake, what the hell is going on? More money
than sand granules is being fed to the US military. Last I heard, the
military receives more than a billion dollars a week, and even at seven
hundred
dollars a pop that should buy enough toilet seats to outfit every toilet
in the world. Why are there no spare parts? Why don't these men have
enough training? Just what are the taxpayers in this country
paying for? How much is being funneled into private bank accounts?
Why can't
the military
account for more than a trillion, I repeat, a trillion dollars? |
