A lot has been said about how ineffectual the Democrats are these days, a lot has been said about the “fear” in the Democratic Party, but I contend it’s actually the Repuglicans who are scared sh**less!!!  They are the ones who are afraid the “sleeping giant” will awaken and find out exactly who and what have created the horror we find ourselves in today!  I ask you first of all who exactly can be called “ineffectual” when, during a time of war and great crisis, a time when our sons and daughters are dying on the battlefield, the Repuglicans are debating the so-called disadvantages of “abortion,” “flag burning,” and “gay marriage”?  And exactly which party is it that is so afraid of losing power that they would lie and cover up crimes against humanity?  Who exactly is it that is so afraid of being found out that they would use every dirty trick that’s ever been pulled out of the political hat in an effort to divert the public’s attention from the facts?  Whose fear is so evident these days that, every time you see their arrogance and their bluster, you can also see the sweat on their brow?  Who is so afraid of being found out that on the best of days, his infamous gobbledygook is even more garbled?  Yes, sir, it’s George Bush, his administration, and the Repuglican Party who are afraid, they are the ones who are very afraid America has at last awakened!!!  PS every Democrat worth his or her salt should preface everything they have to say with, “George Bush and the Repuglicans are afraid of the truth”!!!

It saddens me to say the modern day weapon of mass destruction is being delivered by, you guessed it, America!  We have literally become the enemy by delivering Depleted Uranium, the ultimate in weapons of mass destruction, because it keeps on killing even after the war is over---“Remember shock and awe? We were pounding Baghdad, in those triumphant early days, with low-grade nuclear weapons, raining down cancer, neurological disorders, birth defects and much, much more on the people we claimed to be liberating. We weren’t spreading democracy, we were altering the human genome … A war crime of unprecedented dimension is unfolding as we avert our eyes. Perhaps it’s simply too big to see, or to grasp, so we lull ourselves into the half-belief that the powers that be know what they’re doing and it will all turn out for the best. Meanwhile, the contagion spreads, the children die, the planet becomes uninhabitable.”

Of late I’ve heard a lot about conservative “red meat” issues to garner support from the Repuglicans for the Repuglicans and I must admit I found the terminology offensive, but after some careful observation, some soul searching, and a whole lot of thought, I must say it certainly is a fitting idiom for that entire bunch of cannibals otherwise known as Repuglicans!!!

So says “the prez. . . we’ll defend ourselves, but at the same time we’re actively working with our partners to spread peace and democracy,”!  Uhh, just in case someone forgot to whisper it in your ear George, you’re the one who brought “shock and awe” down on Iraq!  You’re the one who told lies and “fixed the policy around the facts” to invade a country that actually DID NOT have weapons of mass destruction!  You’re the one who sent American soldiers to occupy a foreign land for revenge and profit!

It’s about time some of the numb nuts in this country wake up!!!  The NYT did not, I repeat, did not, take this country into a preemptive, unnecessary war based on lies and “fixed around the policy facts”!  The NYT did not ignore an August 6th PDB entitled, “Osama determined to strike within the U.S.,” they didn’t head for the ranch for a month’s R and R when leadership was most needed for our domestic safety and security, the NYT didn’t abandon the fight against terrorists and the Taliban in order to wage war for revenge and profit.  Wake up America and smell the politics of fascism!

“Bush accuses the Democrats of waving the white flag of surrender”!  Oh yeah, and all I can say is “it takes one to know one”!!!  But then “Troop withdrawal as early as September” of course could never be construed as surrender, especially when it’s been conceived for political reasons, now could it George?

Yessiree, CNN is now the most trusted to bring you Karl Rove’s and George Bush’s version of the news!  Wonder how FOX feels about this development?  And does anyone even have to wonder why America has become so apathetic where TV news is concerned? When the president of the United States is all about lying, and mainstream corporate media parrots those lies, who with any sanity left at all wants to tune in and hear more yada, yada, yada????
