Can We Exchange This President for One That Works?

Dear Buzz,

America is on the brink of war with Iraq, is newly threatened by North Korea's nuclear progress, is still at war in Afghanistan (we control only the capitol of Kabul and a few miles around it), is being terrorized by a serial sniper around the nation's capitol; and where is our president?

We now learn the White House has dispatched George W. Bush, our supposed commander-in-chief, to go on a non-stop campaign tour to help Republican candidates win their elections.

Doesn't anyone else have a problem with this scenario?

I cannot think of any other wartime in American history when the nation's president abandoned the capitol, abandoned the American people, and abandoned his presidential responsibilities with so little concern for the American people's well-being.

Can we exchange this president for one that works?
