Bush Must Read Every Name of a Dead American on the Vietnam Wall Memorial Before Congress Lets Him Invade Iraq
by Paul J. Clements
I think Congress SHOULD give the President authorization to unilaterally invade Iraq, but only under the following conditions:
First: He must take a leave of absence to serve out the missing months (years?) that he skipped out of National Guard duty. (In a real combat unit...one doing close air support in Iraq...not one defending the skies over Texas from the Viet Cong.)
Second: His two daughters must be subject to, and register for, the military service in the Iraq invasion.
Third: The President must walk from the Oval Office to the Vietnam war memorial and read, out loud, all 58,000 names inscribed on that long black wall.
