It All Depends Upon Who Protests
by Mary MacElveen
These people sent in by the GOP, and can be named, protested, intimidated, and stopped the democratic process. Where were the police and the pepper spray when they stopped the vote counting? Nowhere to be found.
No first amendment zones here. No pepper spray and they were allowed the freedom of expression. This is when we had democracy.
They were allowed to dissent and engage in the democratic process. Why did no harm come to them?
In our country, everyone has the right to protest and speak out. Why not these brave patriots in Portland? What makes their message that different from Pro Bush protesters?
What makes this young lady so different from the Pro Bush protesters? America, you have the right to speak out against this administration. Remember the song, "This Land Is Your Land, This Land Is My Land." You have self permission to speak out in force. This land belongs to you, and not George W. Bush. Our Founding Fathers would expect no less.

If anyone wants things to change, then they must be willing to sacrifice their efforts to be that change maker.
