Bushopoly

by Vince White

Dear BuzzFlash,

A New Game: "Name That Terrorist Threat"

As sure as night follows day, the Bush Administration is almost certainly putting the final touches on the next terrorist announcement designed to scare the bejeesus out of America and knock the financial/political scandals off the front page.

We have started a pool in our office to try and guess what the next terrorist threat will be. Each person gets to submit three threats. The threats are scored on a sliding scale. The more specific they are, the greater the point value. For example, if someone guesses that a threat will be about aircraft or trains or busses it is only worth a point. However, if someone guesses a particular city in conjunction with a threat that is worth three points. The current favorite is that Al Queda agents dressed as mothers will use All-American apple pies to smuggle weapons into baseball stadiums to kill as many as possible.

We are thinking about making it a board game. Players could advance three squares if they draw a threat card and they would have to retreat one space if they pulled a scandal card. The ultimate goal would be to get to the top of dictator mountain whereby the winning player could subjugate the rest of the players and take all their money. Fun for the whole family. We are gonna call it "Bushopoly."

Regards,

Vince White
