Keep
Your Eyes On Harken Oil
Dear
BuzzFlash:
Keep
up the great work. Harken is the keystone to the sorry arc of bush's career,
from failed oil man to figurehead on the Texas Rangers deal, which he
then parlayed into the gig in Austin, and you know the rest. Junior actually
used the profits from his illegal sale of Harken stock to pay off the
loan he used to get the seed money for the rangers deal.
We
have to take a page from the book of the Arkansas Project, keep the story
alive, even if the repetitiveness seems mind-numbing to someone who already
knows the facts. (You can leave all the other slimy, unethical tactics
of the Arkansas Project behind, since this is a REAL story.)
We
have to break down the panic-induced faith in bush held by the majority
of people who are still in denial. Keep reminding them as they look at
their 401(k)s every month. Remind them of how they were told the market
was their only investment option after the S&L industry was looted.
Remind them of Silverado. Then they will realize that it really does matter
who is in the White House, and who he has surrounded himself with.
Bring
up all the sordid details, the banks tied to BCCI, the recurring role
of Breeden, the former SEC chief, and Bush family lawyer in these deals.
BTW, Breeden is now in charge of oversight of Worldcom (a post he was
ironically appointed to by a Clinton-nominated Judge, who also recently
ruled that the death penalty is unconstitutional - he is either a quisling
or a genius).
The
ancient Chinese used to say, "May you live in interesting times."
They meant it as a curse.
Harkening
back to the good old days,
A
