Tom
Delay, Cluck Cluck

Let
me get this straight about why Tom Delay DID NOT serve in Vietnam. He
WANTED to enlist, but while me and my white, Texan, Republican (at the
time) brothers were able to volunteer and serve (two in the Army, one
in the Navy) and even though there was a draft in effect, Tom Delay says
he was . . . rejected because he was white? So instead of serving his
country in Vietnam he applied for a deferment (?) and went into the exterminating
business. That's fine, free country, no dishonor; he has the inalienable
right not to fight. But the reason he alleges for not enlisting is that
they rejected him because there were presumably too many blacks, hispanics
and other "minorities" already serving? And he says they actually
told him this -- meaning they said those words, as in, "right now,
Tom, there are just too many blacks, hispanics and other minorities serving
to make room for one more white guy, so you're out?" And even though
they rejected him I'm supposed to believe he still had to (contradiction)
apply for a deferment?
Come
on now, Tom, I was in the Army in 1972 and you weren't. Let's hear you
repeat that outright lie to my face. And how about a follow-up question
or two from the (laugh) press to get this whopper firmly on record? More
amazing than this story is that it is NOT being widely broadcast on the
six-o'clock news where it belongs to show this bald-faced liar for what
he is? Does old Tom think this utter bullshit will actually fool anyone?
Maybe it does though. Maybe it fools the press. These idiots running the
war say whatever pops into their tiny cowardly heads and the reporters
just say, "Okay, sounds good to me."
One
more time now for the record: Senator Kerry, a bonified war hero of multiple
wartime tours and a chest full of medals, a man of uncommon valor and
principle, is a traitor; while the chicken-shits, I mean chicken-hawks,
like Delay, Cheney, and the AWOL POTUS, who WOULD have served but didn't,
are the real patriots? They WOULD have won the Vietnam war, if only they
had been there. Hey Tom, how about stepping outside with me and lets discuss
this mano-a-mano? Come on, I promise it'll only hurt 'til you pass out.
