| Pre War 'Intelligence' and Chris Matthews Channeling Hillary A BUZZFLASH
READER CONTRIBUTION Chris has decided to send Dubya an early Valentine, to thank him for allowing him to give him those long, loving posterior smooches for another year. Chris was again giving Dubya support on his domestic spying plan. Any good reporter, meaning not Chris, would be trying to interview people all over the world to try to piece together what Dubya isn’t telling us - regarding whatever he is paranoid about today - [and would be] concerned that maybe Rove is monitoring them to shut them up. We can be confident Chris isn’t one of them. A tape of Rove’s calls to give Chris his daily talking points would be interesting. I had to take an anti-nausea pill and read the State of Dubya’s Fascism speech again. I was speed reading it in the car the last time and missed this gem of hubris that would gag a maggot. This is from the White House website, hence the "Applause" references. I have highlighted the portion Chris mentioned.
Chris then said that they panned to Hillary and she gave a look that could only mean, “God, your good,” and he seemed to indicate she now agrees with Harriet Miers and thinks Dubya is too intelligent for words. I am not a fan of Hillary these days, but that isn’t what I got from the look, unless he was meaning, “God you're good at arrogance, stupidity, and vainglorious clap-trap.” When I saw it on a clip they commented that she looked like the Cheshire car, which is what I thought. “I can’t wait to go after that one,” was my thinking. He also mentioned that he thought she was running, which I hope she reconsiders until she decides which party primary will best suit her views. She is way too middle of the road for me. I haven’t read any of Hillary’s comments about the speech, but I would hope that she would mention that before 9/11 Dubya was only interested in putting our Social Security in the arms of the Wall-Street profiteers, hanging the poor out to dry, getting rid of all benefits for labor and of course making the Bush family contributors wealthier with tax cuts they don’t need and won’t use to create high-paying jobs. Just before the SOTU speech, I had read an article done by W. David Jenkins III that he had written on November 28, 2005 called, “Rewriting History? You Must Be Joking, George,” which had a line that said “Everyone saw the same intelligence that we did.” I always thought that they may have read the same thing, but Dubya and his bunch re-wrote it before using it to take us to war. From what I read prior to 9/11, the Bush administration wasn’t even slightly interested in terrorism, unless it was their own form of terror which involved stealing the surplus and blowing it to smithereens. For a guy who thinks we can all put a little back to pay for our own healthcare crises, he is never interested in his administration putting anything back for a rainy, explosive or any other kind of day. He has complete blind faith that if a catastrophe, like Katrina, comes we will be ready, willing and able to take care of it with donations, hand-me-downs and canned goods. In David Jenkins' article, he mentions a couple of quotes by Condi, the always blind-sided, Rice and Colin, “I love this country, but not enough to tell you that Bush asked his friends for the surveillance program in 2002. l told him, at the time, it was un-American and illegal and so did Ashcroft from his hospital bed,” Powell. “Colin Powell on Feb 24, 2001 speaking on the success of American policies regarding Saddam” said, “he has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors.” Then, just shy of a year later on February 5, 2003, that statement morphed into the mushroom cloud speech to end all mushroom cloud speeches before the UN, including all the charts, slides, dots, titles, “8X10 glossy photos with circles and arrows on the back” and all-l-l-l kinds of scary stuff. By the way, tomorrow is the day to thank Colin Powell for putting party loyalty ahead of the lives of your kids in uniform. The day the soldier’s soldier decided to leave patriotism behind and endanger the lives of millions because he thought you should always follow your Commander-in-Chief no matter how stupid or even nonexistent the plan for “shock and awe” and its aftermath were. He decided to follow the advice of people who had never seen combat, except in movies, and for what? Party loyalty!!!!!!!! And on July 29th, 2001 regarding the effects of sanctions on Iraq, Condi, our then National Security czar said, “We are able to keep arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt.” Then on CNN, September 8, 2002, just before the first anniversary of 9/11, her “what me worry” impersonation of Alfred E. Neumann became, “We don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.” In a little over a year, Saddam had gone from neutered, to the father of smoking guns and mushroom clouds. Chris Matthews and any other Little Mary Sunshine Bush butt-kissers, who continue to trust this bunch regarding intelligence gathering, its interpretation and its use, should be locked up and the key thrown away. We already know that if they have gathered evidence, they have no compunction about re-writing it and using it to get other people’s family members killed, both foreign and domestic. They are still not sending their own kids to war. My personal comment about the State of the Union Speech is; “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” of secrecy and deceit, he is not a wizard and this isn’t OZ.
