| It's All Fun and War Games for the Unaccountable Bush A BUZZFLASH READER CONTRIBUTION BuzzFlash, Regarding an article mentioned by one of your readers in the Mailbag seen in The New York Times, President Bush's New Public Face: Confident and 'Impishly Fun' ...
A remark that I would expect from someone in the Bush administration's Department of Education. Where do we look for Bush's heart? In Afghanistan? In Iraq? In all of the legislation brought down on the American people by the Bush administration. In his budget? In the debt he has given to the American people? In his plan for Social Security? In his legislation for bankruptcy? In his tearing up Alaska for what has been said would be for very little oil? The smile and the so-called fun and games by Bush might come from the fact that he has been illegally placed into the White House twice without any confrontation ... that he has literally been able to lie and get away with murdering over 200,000 people in Iraq and costing the lives of our military for nothing and many of those lives because they were in the National Guard and not trained and many lives due to lousy equipment. The slashing of military programs and medical care. The slashing of hundreds of programs for Americans, especially children, that have been in effect for many years. Smiling and having fun at the expense of others without any accountability ... that's Bush ... all fun and war games. Just ask anyone who has lost a family member since Bush took office. Ask anyone who has a family member whose life has been ruined by injuries in the wars since Bush took office. Ask anyone who has a family member who comes home and has to live without benefits, job and ends up homeless on the streets of the US. That takes a lot of heart and Bush has that kind of heart. This article has "White House Letter" at the top. Does this mean that it is another advertisement for Bush and paid for by the Bush administration because it does nothing except praise Bush and it has all of the "touchy-feely" aspects that the Bush administration likes to talk about when Bush tries to relate to America's "common people," usually after he has spent days and months abusing us with his legislation ... afterwards, he's just a regular guy, again ... (paraphrasing) The last line of the article quotes a roommate of Bush's who has been given a job as White House budget office director and he gave this simple explanation for Bush's mood: "He never, ever has to run for office again." Funny, he never was elected when he did run and still won (how hard was that) and I will predict that he will not only break his neck, but put his whole heart into working for the Republican candidate in the next illegal election and it will be illegal unless we have "paper and pencils." "In a full heart there is room for everything, and in an empty heart there is room for nothing." -- Antonio Porchia, Voces, 1968 Just
