The American Inquisition Has Begun!

Dick Armey made a rather innocuous sounding statement in Texas (where else) the other day when telling the world that Social Security should "go away." Talking about allowing Americans to take their SS money and invest(?) it privately, he feels that they would make the right decisions about their own futures. He said, "...there will never be a class of destitute Americans who neglected to do their own investing." (See Buzzflash.com Feb 28, 2005; Link to article). Of course not. They'll starve to death by 2042 having to spend $50.00 they don't have for a loaf of bread!

I guess he's talking about the same Americans who've racked up an average of $8000 in credit card debt; literally never to be able to pay it off! These debtors have shown how they can be expected to handle money. In defense of some, because of low wages and no health care insurance, they've used the credit cards to buy stupid things like food and utilities (There are no hungry people in the U.S. - Ed Meese, remember him?).

Realizing what a bonanza the credit industry would become, it lobbied Congress some years back to raise the interest rates because they were losing money on cardholders that defaulted. Knowing this, the credit companies started a push to give EVERYONE a credit card expecting many to fail thus insuring money in their pockets for years to come. Take from the poor to give to the rich. Where's Errol Flynn when you need him?

By now we should have learned that when this current De-ministration proposes something as radical as the SS debacle, it should send up a red flag. What else is going on under the covers? While the left is defending SS, Rove and the NeoConvicts have quietly pushed through some rather disquieting legislation. Our attention was elsewhere. Good job Democrats! Semper Vigilans!

As far as those who think that the protesting of Bush's Policies means anything, you've got to realize that the NeoCons really and truly don't give a damn about the complaints. In essence, they don't care whether people live or die; hence Iraq. (Any Republican, please dispute this if you can.) They're going to do what they want. In the past, at least Congress would compromise on bills. Not so today. I don't know what Dubya put in their water to give this hubris but they're all somewhat crazy, megalomaniacs with delusions of Heaven.

And for those of you that think that George wants to set himself up as king or dictator, think about this. With the trend of "Religious Intolerance" in this country, the only thing that would give him the power he craves is to be Lord High Priest. If you remember your history, in every kingdom the rulers bowed to the will of the "Church"! People are sheep.
