Uncle Buzz Wants You -- Stand up for America!
Wage an Issue Ad Campaign March 14 to March 18

My name is Robert Millman, I live in Glenville, New York. And from March 14 to March 18 I’m airing Progressive Issue Ads on Talk Radio. That’s right—Conservative Talk Radio. And I‘m asking you to join me.

The idea is simple: commercial radio runs on advertising; anyone can place an issue ad, even you.

Yes it takes some money, but what it really takes is one person to decide to place one ad. It’s like making stone soup--one ad from you and another from someone else and so on and so on. And if radio ads are expensive where you live, pool your money with two friends.

You can do this! Just one ad, that’s all it takes. If enough people stand up and do it across America, we can change the way America thinks.

Let’s make March 14 to March 18 the five days that progressives speak with one voice. Let’s carry a unified, unfiltered message on Talk Radio, and repeat that message as as often as we can.

Consider the possibilities—

Hundreds, maybe thousands of people placing one ad each, shaking America out of the bad dream we’ve been living for the past four years. With paid issue ads, we raise a single voice to remind America that we need to make smart choices about energy independence and fiscal responsibility, that we have a moral responsibility to the future of our country, to the environment, and that we must lead by example.

I want to raise these two basic issues: oil dependence and deficit spending. I know there are other issues, but I believe these two are the key to rolling back the Bush agenda and getting people to think. Our entire Middle-East policy, including the war in Iraq is a result of America’s oil dependence. And the Bush economic plan (especially Social Security “reform”) is based on deficit spending.

The Editors of BuzzFlash endorse this message and are sponsors of these issue ads. Use the links below to read, hear and download these issue ads.

It’s easy to place an issue ad on the radio, Here’s how.

1. Pick the Ad you like
2. Contact the radio station you choose
3. Figure out what you can afford
4. Direct the radio station to this url to download the mp3 files

That’s all it takes!! . . .

Finally, and perhaps most importantly—Tell us if you are going to place an ad. If you want to be anonymous, that’s fine. But please tell us, we want to know.

This isn’t a contract, it is a pledge from people that want to stand and fight.

If you have any question about the ads, or want an ad declaring yourself or your group as the sponsor write me.

A BuzzFlash Radio Moment

President Bush declared his intention to (voice of George W. Bush ) "Break the reign of hatred and resentment and expose the pretensions of tyrants." It's a noble sentiment and we should expose pretensions, especially our own, because American soldiers are dying in Iraq every day.

The facts on the ground tell us sanctions and containment worked. There were no WMD's, no nuclear capability and no ties to 9/11.

But Sadaam did pose a real threat to his oil-rich neighbors, and by proxy he threatened oil dependent countries like ours.

Maybe it's time to remember-- We are the country that pioneered steam, oil and nuclear energy. Maybe it's time we invented a new energy source.

Because oil is killing us.

A Buzzflash radio moment--
The Federal deficit, is 400 billion dollars this year,
the total National Debt is 7 trillion dollars.
I keep hearing it's our money,
But it's gone and now it's our debt.
Not corporate debt, it’s citizen debt
Every man woman and child in this country
owes the government 25,000 dollars. (pause)
It would be fair to call this a “Birth Tax.”

A Buzzflash radio moment--
Oil--it fuels our cars, our jobs, and our lives.
More than 50% of America’s oil is imported.
As long as we’re dependent on foreign oil,
It’s likely we’ll have troops in the Middle East,
Because that’s where the oil is.
Even if we'd like to, we can’t drill our way out at home,
We don’t have that much oil. (pause)
We don’t need a marketing strategy, we need a real solution
