Dan Rather and 60 Minutes Strike Back! A BUZZFLASH READER CONTRIBUTION If you didn't see 60 Minutes tonight, you missed a powerful indictment of all the bozos trying to shoot down this National Guard story because the documents might be inauthentic. Basically it matters little, as the contents of the documents reflect the opinion of the man and the content has not been challenged by anyone, including the president or his wife. This "forgery" argument is a total red herring designed to distract from the real message of the story, which is Bush was given preferential treatment and thought he was above rules. To this day he hasn't changed one iota. This story is not over by a long shot. Listen to the entire 11 minute Windows WMA audio file (1.33 MB Windows audio, about 1/3 size of normal MP3). To download to your computer, "right" mouse click and choose "save target as." Two more important things about this story. Bush basically flushed 1 million dollars worth of taxpayer fighter training down the toilet. He walked out well before his promise was fulfilled, probably because he knew he could not pass the drug test. There are countless men from middle class who would have given their right nut to get this kind of pilot training. If they would have done this, they would have been assured a very lucrative career as an airline pilot for the entire length of their working life. Bush flushed this down the toilet.
