Republicans Can't Have it Both Ways in Iraq

Conservative Republicans are self selectively bred to be the most insane and religious. This would help account for their beliefs and behavior regarding Iraq.

They ignore that we helped Saddam achieve power. They ignore that we gave Saddam weapons of mass destruction. They ignore that Rumsfeld was in Iraq years ago when Saddam was killing Iraqis and we were funding him. They have ignored that Bush One gave Saddam clearance to take Kuwait. They ignore that we set fire to the Kuwait oilfields and blamed Saddam (soldiers have confessed and been threatened by what is in place as our government). They ignore that we left Saddam in power with his Republican Guard intact. They ignore that Bush One gave speeches encouraging the Iraqi people to revolt against Saddam promising help and then not only did not help, but ceased no fly policies against Saddam, so he could use air power to put down the revolt. They ignore that we put in place sanctions that combined with the Gulf War damage caused the horrible sickness and death of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. They ignore that a dozen years of sanctions took a terrible toll, so when we went to war we were attacking a confused and beaten people. They ignore that we did not go after terrorists in Afghanistan in earnest. They ignore that we even abandoned the pretense of getting the terrorists in Afghanistan to focus attention and money on Iraq. They ignore that the Afghanistan war was planned before 9-11 when the Taliban government would not cooperate with oil pipeline plans.They ignore that the Iraq war was planned right after 9-11 when they had the American people believing they were focused on getting terrorists. They ignore that an FBI translator was fired, because she went to representatives of the people to let them know she had been told to let terrorist communications pile up unread, so Congress would give the FBI more money. They ignore that prior to this Bush Two had encouraged government employees to be whistleblowers when it came to national security. They ignore that he has left Sibel Edmonds twisting in the wind and let Attorney General Ashcroft issue a gag order against her letting Americans know what she knows. They ignore that a Republican appointed judge would not let anyone know what was going on in his court when she was there, but had to abandon his position when some American citizens demanded to see the proceedings. They ignore that this brave woman and others have let us know that the administration knew attacks with airplanes used as missiles were planned. (several years ago rural firemen in Utah were instructed on terrorism using a manual that had a picture of an airliner crashing into the Twin Towers) This list could go on ad nauseam.

They made nuclear claims, chemical weapon claims, biological weapon claims, etc. and all were lies and known to be lies, because if they had been true it would have proven so criminally reckless to go into Iraq hundreds of thousands would now be dead. You can’t have it both ways. What? You want us to believe Saddam the mass murderer would not harm attacking American soldiers? You can’t have it both ways.

When all proved a horrible expensive lie you claimed it was worth all the injured, dead and billions plus an extra 87 billion to save the Iraqi people. Now, you brutalize, bomb, shoot, deny food and water, deny medical attention, crimes ad nauseam against these same people. You can’t have it both ways.

If the rest of the people of the United States could think, emote and behave like conservative Republicans they would strip Republicans of their assets, deny them adequate sanitary food and water, deny them adequate medical care and medicines, limit their every freedom for 12 years and then turn drugged avengers on them.
