Bill Frist and Profiteering from Terrorism

A BUZZFLASH READER CONTRIBUTION

"I am troubled that someone would sell a book, trading on their service as a government insider with access to our nation's most valuable intelligence, in order to profit from the suffering that this nation endured on September 11, 2001," said the Senate Majority Leader [Bill Frist], solemnly" about Dick Clarke and his book, Against All Enemies.

Yet Bill Frist himself has published a book entitled When Every Moment Counts: What You Need to Know About Bioterrorism from the Senate's Only Doctor.

Trading on service as a government insider? Profiteering from the nation's suffering? I report, you decide.

Perhaps the real reason for Frist's anger is that, while his book ranks 94,443 for Amazon sales as of March 31, 2004, Dick Clarke's book is ranked No. 1.
