The Hole in Bush's National Guard Service: Send Peter Jennings the Facts

A BUZZFLASH READER COMMENTARY
by Kelley

In case you missed it, an interesting (and surprising) thing happened last night during the Democratic presidential debate.

Peter Jennings directed a question to General Wesley Clark about a statement by a supporter that George W Bush was a 'Deserter' from the military.

Mr. Jennings stated that the 'facts' do not support this claim and asked General Clark why he did not correct the supporter. Clark quickly stated that he had not 'checked into' the facts about the statement, and said in so many words he would not directly respond since he did not know the full facts.

Ok folks, this issue has now been brought up in a national presidential debate, lets give the FACTS to Mr. Jennings, General Clark, and most importantly to the American public!

I have provided as much information below on Bush's dubious military record as time would allow. Please review and send a copy to Jennings, Clark, and forward to ALL your friends and family!

THEY asked for it, this is our chance to tell them!

Best,

Kelley

"It's well documented that George W. Bush never showed up for National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year, possibly more, in 1972-1973."

AWOL: absent for 30 days or less.

Desertion: absent for more than 30 days with evidence of no intent to
return to duty.
